Best Hotel I've ever stayed!!
Me and my partner arrived at The Crazy Bear and from us walking through the double barn doors to leaving, they made our Anniversary and Celebration of ending Chemotherapy a truly magical and wonderful experience.
We spent our day time hanging out by the pool on a double bed with bed/table service - delcious cocktails and a great selection of teas and soft drinks with snacks to boot.
Then on the evening we tried their fine dining English Resturant where the food was 5* and made us feel like royalty!!
The room we stayed in was wild. Huge space, deep deep bath fed from the ceiling and shower room you could have a party in. A bed so comfy we slept like well behaved babies!!
Honestly I could keep going but im off to enjoy their full English Breakfast xx

This is where the final part of our stay left us with a sour end to what had been a lovely evening.
The breakfast included DOES NOT include drinks, I have never stayed at a hotel without drinks included when it is labelled “breakfast included” £4 for a tea, £4 for a coffee and then worst part… £4 for a small glass of orange juice poured from a carton that could be purchased from a shop for 80p.
So the “breakfast included” cost an extra £13.50 for the drinks & the tip they added on too!
This was feedback to the staff, the response was “Yeah, we get this feedback a lot”
Time for a revisit on there “breakfast inc”
If I had known, I would have booked the room only and gone elsewhere for a breakfast. Full English was the only “inc” dish, lots of alternatives but of course… with an extra fee!
Watch out for this!!

Surprises galore (the good kind)!
The hotel very kindly refunded the cost of our night given the significance of our trip, and we were also gifted two complimentary alcoholic drinks, which was such a lovely and unexpected gesture. It really made us feel that the occasion mattered to them.
The hotel itself is beautifully quirky and unlike anywhere we've stayed before. The copper bath was absolutely the highlight — easily the best part of the room and such a luxurious experience!
I'm giving four stars rather than five only because there were a few small things that could have been better - such as the couple having a rather good time and the creaking bed above us being very loud- , but the warmth, generosity and effort from the staff made the stay genuinely special. It was the perfect place to mark the end of a very difficult chapter and celebrate getting to the other side.
Thank you to the Crazy Bear team for helping make such an important occasion one we'll remember. ❤️
