Nice place with nice people. Schoenes Hotel, gutes Essen. Personel ist sehr Net.

Excelelnt price / value level.
Nice position near tge Danube.

One night stay

I need some cheap hotel for one night. This one was near the port and cheap. Reception is multilanguage. Rooms was clean, equipment was a little older but working. No dirt issue etc. Avoid to leave window open through night because of mosquitoes.

Very basic: cheap

I cannot remember the reasons for choosing to stay in the Hotel Egreta. We arrived at 2100 and were given a room on the 7th floor by the nice receptionist. The lifts worked. The room looked tired with old fashioned furniture. There was a cigarette burn on the bedcover and some stains on the carpet. The air conditioning did not seem to work, and the room was hot overnight. The breakfast, which was included, was basic but OK. The price was very cheap and it the hotel was located close to the waterfront promenade (and the ferry) and two supermarkets in which to buy provisions (and wine) for the Delta.

Don't get fooled by the aspect, it's a fair deal

This hotel is well underrated due to the communist/worn aspect, but it's way ok in all instances. Clean rooms with updated furniture, clean bathroom, air-condituoning. The tv set is outdated but for me that was not an issue. Free wifi, broadband access.
Good placement very close to the Danube boardwalk, centre, museums etc.
Parking is shared with properties in vicinity but we find a parking spot with no problems.
Good breakfast for a low price - nothing fancy but enough variety and correct.
I definitely recommend this hotel, don't hesitate!

Avoid at all cost

Don’t believe some of the reports this hotel is terrible and dirty and is not suitable for tourism. We stayed for 20 minutes and that was 19 minuets too long!
The rooms (510 & 511) had dirty stained carpets and ceilings the furniture and bed were old, damaged and very shabby and the shower tray was chipped. The bed was unmade and covered with an ancient quilt. We discovered like some of your previous reports that a duvet cover was in the wardrobe and bed making is your responsibility and that the rooms had not been refurbished for many years. In the hotels defence the bedding and towels were clean and the receptionist was helpful and understanding.
