Best price in town
Slept one night. Really nice hotel. There was a wedding at the restaurant but didnt hear any noise because I had the windows shut. Has a mini fridge, a led tv and a ventilator. 15-20 min to the trainstation. Next to a profi minimarket.

Smart option in Sibiu
For one time we want to visit the Christams Fair at the end of 2017. Last time we loved the way they organize the Fair. Being such a possitive period of the year, we decided to go.
Unfortunately by the time when we decided, with 2 month before the 1st of december, already the procent of rentals was more than 90%. Yea, that much, and only expencive accomodation were available.
But the fortune was close to my in one of those days.. Somebody just cancel his appointment in Sibiu, hotel Sonne.
When i saw the price, I said to myself.. doesn`t matter that the hotel has just one star, for 2 night I can leave with that..
But ! When we arrived at the location, I was very pleased with what we found. The hotel is located arround 800-1000 meters away from the historic center and fair.
I can say it`s a walking distance. The hotel provide to you: free parking in front of the hotel, free wifi, breakfast (quite tasty), and in couple meters from the hotel you have a supermarket with everything.
Now, the room is big enough for 2-3 pax. One normal 80cm led tv with all most everything you wish. Cozy and clean beds. The bathroom well equiped, and shower.
But for december, one ofthe most important thing was the temperature inside the hotel/room. So,it was very hot. Essential for a good sleep..
I wish to add that the hotel has restaurant. You can serve here good and fresh traditional food, and wine and beer as weel.
As a impression, I will definetelly recomand this hotel, because despite the fact has just one star on website, I really belive worth 2-3 stars. I use to stay in 3 stars hotel with less confort, and bigger prices..
If you just pass to Sibiu or you want to stay couple days, Hotel Sonne can be a very smart choice for you and your friends !!!

Good place to stay
The hotel is 20-25 minutes from the city center walking distance. Free parking is available at the hotel. Rooms are located on the 2nd floor. On the first floor there is a restaurant. The receptionist has a good manager who speaks English and German (possibly in other languages too). Our room was at the far end of the corridor, so the promised wifi did not work. The room was quiet, the restaurant's ground floor noise was not disturbed. The fridge did not work in the room, but the employee immediately replaced it. Great! In the shower, there were bolts on the wall from ...? The shower was not comfortable fastening. The hotel made new furniture in the neighboring room, and works were done in other rooms. We hope that our room will be better!

Pleasant and Comfortable
On our trip to Romania this was our first and last stop. We found all the staff welcoing and helpful especially as we had a number of questions relating to the town and sight-seeing. They were all very patient! The beds and rooms were comfortable without being spectacular but the price was also an important issue for us. Theirs was very good. There was plenty of variety in the breakfast and that set us up for the day very well.

We eat here every time we visit Sibiu or souroundings
We visited Sibiu and as usual went to our favorite place to eat. They have a very good restaurant, with traditional food and generous portions, home made bread and cream that you don't buy it from the supermarket, obviously. We think that the owner of the restaurant has a deal with some local milk & specialties producers because the taste is richer and flavor is more powerful than usual products. The ciorba is not only a plate, they put in the middle of the table a large bowl of soup and each member from the table serve it separately, once or twice until it's done. Funny thing is the bread and the cream are so good that it can cut your hunger pretty good and fast.
The restaurant organizes family events or corporate events, they are part of the hotel when you can stay. The personal is very friendly, chatty and always serves you with pleasure.
