Second stay here

The place is really close to the city center - a house on one of the small streets of Sibiu. I returned here after 3 years and everything was great, just like before. Good communication with the owners, full equipped kitchen at the tourists' disposal and a really nice terrace where you can enjoy your coffee/glass of wine.
Definitely a good choice when staying in Sibiu.

Extreme rude and aggressive with customers

We tried to book a room via email, but could not make the payment like the arrangement (the next day after the email exchange) because we had a lot of work to do at the office and had no access to the phone for personal things (job policy) to let him know or to answer to his call (one single call). The owner got mad: if you don’t answer to him right away (ASAP no matter what) he will ban you and cancell your booking because he has plenty of customers. Rude way to talk to the customers. There is no booking website to make the payment, you must transfer money to his account at the bank or from HomeBank app, really shady. Definitely a no.

Excellent location! Spent 9 nights in June.

I was surprised to discover it was so close to the high school I graduated from 20 years ago! I was not aware of this hidden street, so close to the center (5 minutes), 3 minutes walking distance to the Billa supermarket, 4-5 minutes to Piata Mica.
Well equipped! I was happy to have a refrigerator for 9 days. Used the microwave and the coffee maker.
I would have liked to find some creamer or milk for the coffee and a corkscrew, but the manager told me he had 3 and all of them got stolen.
I enjoyed drinking my coffee on the terrace every single day.
I used the washing machine ( the manager showed me how). He also an amazing person. He always returned my text messages and my phone calls; he called me a cab when needed. He was very helpful.
I do recommend this small hotel /pensiune.
I forgot I was happy to use the laptop provided for the internet!

Rude way to treat guests

Made plans to go to Sibiu for the weekend, got into Casa Merisor on the internet and talked to the owner.
Agreed on the booking in December 1st ( national holiday when everything is closed)
Had a super busy day, the folowing day, so didn t make the transfer on Dec 2nd,
On Dec 3rd in the morning ,got a message that my reservation got cancelled.
Called the owner and told him I am going to make the deposit right away and that I am sorry I didn t have the chance to make it the day before.
The answer was that as I didn t do it yet, I got banned and don t have a posibility of making a new reservation because I was not 'serious', even though I was almost begging the guy on the phone to let me go pay the deposit in that very moment.

Great value

If you're looking for a very reasonable place to stay in Sibiu this is great....€58 between 2 people for 2 nights. It's close to the train station and not far from the main square(s). It's self catering but there's supermarkets close by. The shower is really good and our room was spacious...however the bed wasn't the best.
