Pleasant Stay

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Delaf. It is clean, comfortable and offers good value. The staff were pro active and very helpful in offering advice. Bianca in particular is a real provable solver.

Nice place to stay

This hotel is nice and clean. They have big spacious rooms and the beds are comfortable. The shower is good, plenty of hot water.
The breakfasts supplied are plentiful with a selection of hot and cold food.
The things that could improve are giving the rooms a kettle with tea and coffee. Also to have a telephone in the room to speak with reception, even as a safety measure it should be there.
It is not far from a massive mall called Julius Mall, but a long walk to get to old town where all the nice restaurants are see a bit more life.

Dissapointing

I am not surprised I read so many bad reviews about this hotel. I even wrote to the owner of the hotel to advise on hospitality training but I am sure it will be disregarded. I was born in Cluj and left the country 20 years ago, I was expected to be treated with respect but it was the contrary. Staff were looking at me and my partner like we were aliens, no good morning, no good evening, not a single courtesy or question for five days, we had to fight for a "good morning"
Yes, it was clean, good room size, good breakfast, however, this cannot compensate the disrespect we had to put up with.

Right.

Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. There's no elevator. Location somewhat away from the center. Internet malfunctions, as does tv (internet). Breakfast correct although it would be better if there was some more variety of fruit. Good service.

One of the worsts experiences. Absolutely zero heat inside, when it is freezing otuside

Really bad experience when it comes to customer service, It was really cold outside, an absolutely no heat in the rooms or hallways. I went to ask the receptionist and she told me that the owner has tuned off the heating for the year in order to save money. I then asked for a a heater that I can take to my room, and she said that they do not have any. She said to use the extra blanket in the closet. The extra blanket in the closet was extremely dirty and dark spots all over ( not sure what it was, maybe dried up blood). They did absolutely nothing to provide heat in the room .. The worst hotel in Cluj when it comes to hospitality
You be the judge on the extra filthy blanket.. Bad ownership, Wi; report to HORECA and make an official complaint. The heat is mandatory , otherwise it should have been stated prior to payment that the owner is cheap and does not turn the heat on
