A Solid City Centre Choice

I have stayed in Bucharest a number of times, but for this trip decided to book into the Leonardo based on recommendations from work colleagues.
It has a useful location, just a six minute walk from Piata Romana, and as I arrived by are easily reached to the Piata by the Number 100 bus. Check in was easy with all I needed to do, including booking a late check-out (up to 3PM for 30 euros) and paying the city tax (the company had already paid the bill). Then into one of two high-speed lifts to my room on the second room.
Being so low down, I didn't benefit from the much-vaunted city view, but personally that wasn't an issue. Importantly, the room was quiet, clean, and had all I needed for. three-night stay. Good wifi and lots of hot water for the shower. Tea and coffee making facilities and I actually switched on the large TV. I don't normally use the TV, but the World Cup was on!
Breakfast was served from 0700, and pretty much what you would expect. Standard hot options, cereal, fruit, yoghurts, pastries, bread and the standard continental choices. But lots to set you up for the day. There is a sheltered roadside terrace immediately outside the breakfast room (which doubles as the bar) for smokers to pursue their habit.
The hotel works well for business or pleasure. Walking to the Old Town as a fit person takes in the region of 20-25 minutes. Calea Victoriei to the north has some nice cafes. I walked to meet friends at the Beraria H in King Michael's Park, about 50. minutes. There are bus stops right outside, and getting around Bucharest by bus is really easy.
If you drive, parking is a bit limited, so contact the hotel in advance for advice. There is s small gym, but being a runner I didn't use it so can't really comment. I just has three night's good sleep and made the most of breakfast.
In sum, not the Old Town, but a sound location. I liked it, a and would happily stay here again.

A short but very pleasant stay

I stayed one night in June due to a late flight arrival in Bucharest. I have stayed in the area before but this time I chose Leonardo as it is a modern hotel in a very historical part of Bucharest. Very good location on Calea Victoriei with easy access to all interesting sites as well as public transport, 20 min walk to the Old Town, plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and easy access to Piata Victoriei for more culinary places plus some museums. Hotel personnel is helpful and friendly, the room and bathroom are a decent size for a city hotel (the bed was huge!!!!) . Although I am Romanian I chose to have breakfast in the hotel which saved me looking for alternatives in the area but if you decide otherwise there are plenty of options. I will definitely return on my next trip and hopefully stay longer. Thank you.

Everything was great.. Nice rooms. Extensive breakfast choices. Very pleasant and accomodating staff.
My only regret is that there really isn't a place to easily drive up and unload one's car. There is a sort of driveway behind the building, that we ended up driving into to register and unload, etc, but that probably is not what that path is for.

Professional appearance.

The hotel is a 20-minute walk from the station but the bus is a good alternative. Public transport in Romania (at least in Bucharest) is very easy by simply checking in with a payment card. You don't have to check out. The hotel is within walking distance of the center and the breakfast is fine.

The location is excellent. Room was nice could have been a bit bigger for 3 people.
But overall nice. Would I stay there again yes I would.
