Comfortable hotel with friendly and competent staff.

All very clean and comfortable interiors, friendly and competent staff, great wellness center, rich breakfast, overally great experience. Set in an amazing landscape suitable for sports and cultural and nature visits. Highly recommended!

Visitors are not "Guests" here... owner (sitting somewhere in Prague) needs just your money

As I have visited quite few 4-star hotels in alps ski resorts, seems (as for approach to visitors goes) this one is not in the 4* league quite yet.
Have stayed in Feb.'25 in one of the 3 apartment suites they have.
Cleanliness and rooms were on good level albeit missing small details for comfort (like hangers for towels etc..)
With approach to "Guest"/visitor...had quite different - negative experience:
For the owner, it's obviously all just about money there . "Guests" (real or imaginary) are just legal money source.
Parking on their hotel parking space caused damage to my car (ice on the road - which they did not take care about) they gave me 3 hrs. runaround with the police - which they called on me right away(testing me on alcohol and drugs, checking all possible documents I had as a driver etc.) ..I wasn't even sitting in the car when the damage happen btw. - this was Saturday evening during supper time.
After they wasted my time they said it's not their problem, nobody asked me to park at their parking place/spot. My meal got cold, so did my mood. thank you but NO ... this "4-star" hotel is not for 4* guests...
I wouldn't care if they just say "sorry this is not our problem" (guess they don't have proper insurance) and not call police on me (was not driving but could have had some beers already).
...bonus: As we didn't want to spend time queueing in the reception with mass of other visitors waiting for check-out, and came down from top floor (biggest apt.) 30mins, later, they wanted to give us "a fine" for that.. not that there was any cleaning staff waiting (or walking on the floor)..
Now I've realized I've forgotten to tip the cleaning staff in that bad mood ...sorry for that :/

Great for families with smaller childern

A perfect getaway for families. Large indoor childern playground, nice appartments with separated bedroom. Nice spa and very tasty food, both ala carte and bufet. Time to time longer waiting time for lunches.

Sporthotel Olympia reopend after full reconstruction

Visited in February 2020. The hotel is reopened after full reconstruction. We were one of the first guests. The building looks perfect, very nice and clean. Very nice room, beautiful bathroom. We had just breakfasts but also very good and nice - see my photos. Staff is very friendly and helpful and trying to help and support. We really enjoyed our stay here. For the evaluation I put just 4/5 because some issues occurred: the wellness and fitness announced when booking the room was still not completed and could not be used, then - the building has one balcony without barriers between the rooms so anybody can go on the whole balcony (and watch into your room). The bathroom miss also hair dryer. (one was later borrowed at the reception). Last point is the price policy of the meals. We asked for the half-board (dinners) and the price was 290 CZK which is really to much, comparing with other hotels that offer 150-180 CZK. I think that all the issues I mentioned can be solved. The hotel has very good potential to start again and be very popular.

Announced reconstruction not finished yet

Unfortunately, after the change of the owner the situation is not better till now. The hotel should been reconstructed from March 2018 till beginning of winter 2018. Sudennly, there are no details, just information that reconstruction will be finished in summer 2018. Current condition of the hotel seems that it will be problem to finish all works till summer. Check the photos...
