Awesome!!!

We spent one night here, i was delighted by the cleanliness of the bathroom and by the condition of taps. Bright medium sized room with huge windows! And we had two mirrors in room. Polite staff and tasty breakfast! The only thing which we didn’t like was to sign the contract and to read all the rules of usage at 22.30 cause we were really tired,but rules are rules.

Terrible

For the beginning the hotels pictures that are displayed on Trip advisor or other websites were probably taken after the hotel was built (or renovated). The start was very impressive after all day driving we spend 20 minutes at the reception by filling the paper forms and personal details of all family (including the kids!!!). The cherry on the top is the fact that you have to sign the agreement. They do not want to take any responsibility for what happens in the rooms or on their private parking site.
The PARKING IS NOT FREE even though as we booked it should that parking is free. So be careful, as they will charge you another 10EUR per day. Don’t be foolish as parking is free just at the outside after 18:00-till the morning during the weekends and the bank holidays (the fact about it the receptionist lied to us). Within 300 meter from the hotel there is cheaper parking site the link I will include in to the photos below.
You will REQUIRED to leave key at reception every time you leave the premises. After you are back you have to show their given card then you get the key of you room back. For what reason that is done I leave to decide it for yourselves…
Rooms are outdated, unclean(some corners with the leftovers of food and pill of dust),no bin liners, dirt on molded silicone around shower, the light with no covers, mold on the the bath celling, broken walls and tiles. (be very careful if you have asthma or allergies!!!). TV was very old and small, probably still same from 90's.
The trains passing by every 5 minutes bring earplugs if you want to sleep!!! Just outside the hotel runs the main train line the trains going to /out the main Prague station.
Don’t expect the breakfast. It was just a bad joke. Very limited choice. Everyday served the same food. The flies are on the food! That place have not seen a good and proper housekeeping including the basement where the restaurant is located. The stuff in the restaurant is rude and unfriendly do not talk or react to your question at all...
The checking out was the best experience what had happened during the stay in this TERRIBLE hotel.

Thank you for your review. I would like to make the following observations on the above:
Photos presented on the website where our hotel is presented are real and correspond to the current state.
Upon check-in, it is necessary to fill in the hotel form that corresponds to the obligations given to us by the European Union's rules on the processing of guests' personal data (GDPR).
We have not had a problem with the quality of the hotel breakfast so far, the guests did not complain. We are sorry that our breakfast did not suit you.
The information that parking in our hotel parking is paid and costs 10, - EUR / day is given on all hotel websites.
Handing over keys when leaving the hotel is for the safety and security of guests' belongings in the hotel rooms. Therefore, even when returning keys, a hotel card with the guest's name is required to check that the key is not being issued to anyone else.

Ostruvek - good budget hotel

My husband and I recently stayed in Ostruvek from 20th to 27th January. We liked it very much. The plus points are the big size of the room and an equally spacious bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with several varieties for non vegetarians. Everyday our room used to be attended by housekeeping with fresh towels etc. The tram station is close by and we could just walk across.All in all I highly recommend this hotel for the budget traveller.

Very good for the price

This hotel is located in Praha 2 and it is close to some tram lines that can take you easily everywhere. There are a few things going on there, it is both residential and with some commercial places such as some restaurants, a few bars, convenience stores, etc. You can see that it is an old hotel but quite well maintained and clean. The rooms are very spacious as well. The breakfast was small but good. The staff spoke very good English and they were very helpful. One of the receptionists really took her time to show us in the map which tram to take to get to different places.

Short stay but very enjoyable.

The hotel is close to a tram station, easy to reach city center. Though the hotels is close to train track, I wasn't bothered by any noise. Room was clean, tidy and quiet. Price is good. Breakfast was good as well. Staff was friendly and helpful.
