Nice and clean room, helpful staff at the reception, wide choice at the breakfast buffet. The spa is very nice, but quite a lot of wasps/bees this time of year (early august). Not only at the salty whirlpool which has a warning sign, but large numbers around the outdoor cooling lake and the outdoor showers by the lake. Also, there was still reconstruction works at the spa going on. When I booked the stay, it was written it would be over by then, but it wasn’t.

Hotel Minimus

Unfortunately, Hotel Maximus did not meet our expectations for an alleged wellness and spa hotel at all.
It was particularly disappointing that you have to pay extra for every single hour in the wellness area. We have already visited many wellness hotels, but we have never experienced such a policy before. Especially for a hotel that presents itself as a wellness and spa hotel, access to the wellness area should at least be partially included in the room rate.
The rooms also did not seem luxurious to us at all, nor did they meet a five-star standard. Overall, both the room and the entire stay lacked the quality, comfort, and special ambiance that one can expect from this hotel category.
The price-performance ratio is not right for us at all. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the hotel as a true wellness hotel. Our personal impression: one star rather than five.

Regarding wellness access, our hotel offers different types of stays. Guests can either choose accommodation only or select one of our packages that already includes wellness access. We always strive to provide this information as clearly as possible before arrival, both during the booking process and in the reservation confirmation.
We are also sorry that the room and overall concept of the resort did not match your expectations. We understand that every guest has different preferences, and we regret that our resort was not the right fit for you.

Disappointing

Awful service and waste of money. I wanted to spend a relaxing weekend and I received the exact opposite. The wellness is packed with all sort of guests, many even smoke (outside the area) but still carry on the bad smell. The sleep was terrible, last night there was a wedding party, with high volume music, until the late hours (3?). In a wellness resort???? I'm there to relax and enjoy quiet, not in a teenager hostel!!! FGS!!! The desk staff is useless and not prepared for a wannabe 4 starts. I had a problem in the room with A/C, too cold and there was only one operator, not answering the phone, so I had to go to the reception and ask for support that she could not give, as she could not leave the desk. She asked me to wait 2 hours for the maintenance operator to arrive in site. What if I had waterpipe fluds or a fire? Should I wait in the room for 2 hrs?? She could not come up with any solution, not even asking me to wait at the bar or changing room. Just 'I'm sorry'. I asked to call the manager and manager wasn't answering the phone...Nice!! At first she told me there werent other rooms available, when I became really upset and told her this wasnt a 4 starts service...something magic happened...there was a room I could move in...WOW! I needed to get mad, in a wellness resort, to be able to get a room I could rest in. Breakfast is basic, many products offered but low quality. Cold cut, as ham and salmon had a terrible colour, scrumble eggs were waterish and pastries tasteless. I had much better breakfast elsewere. Never again

Our wellness centre does operate with a set maximum capacity to ensure a pleasant environment for all guests, but we understand that individual perception of crowding can vary. Regarding the wedding celebration, we always strive to balance private events with the comfort of our hotel guests, and we regret if this disrupted your rest. Concerning the technical issue in your room, it is correct that during the night our maintenance staff is not on-site but on-call, which can unfortunately mean a waiting period in case of urgent problems. We understand how frustrating this must have been, and while our reception tried to find a solution, the communication clearly did not leave you with the reassurance you deserved. We will certainly review this situation internally. As for the room change, we regret the impression you had. Our receptionists are instructed to offer alternatives whenever possible, but the hotel’s availability can change quickly, which is why the option appeared later. We are also sorry that our breakfast selection did not meet your expectations. Many of our guests appreciate the variety and freshness, but we will carefully recheck the quality you mention with our kitchen team. Once again, we apologize for the negative impression you left with. We value your comments and will use them to improve our services further.
