Restful retreat outside Lisbon

We absolutely loved this hotel in Cascais, just outside Lisbon. The renovation is gorgeous. We felt right at home and very comfortable in our room and on property.
The highlights:
We were upgraded to a bigger room with an absolutely stunning balcony and view of the pool and golf course.
The outdoor pool was pristine and we never had to fight for chairs because of the ticketed towel system, which I’ll take any day so people aren’t saving seats when they’re not actually at the pool. There was also a small indoor pool great for rainy days or just a heated option.
The breakfast was included for us and it was the biggest and freshest hotel spread you can hope for! Everything was lovely. I appreciated that they had many gluten free options as a celiac.
There was a spa on-site but we did not use.
The lowlights:
Because of the room upgrade, we ended up with a pull-out bed in one of the rooms for our 12- and 14-year-old children. It’s one of the ancient ones with about a three-inch mattress and frame that you feel the metal bars through. Also very squeaky. For a hotel of this caliber, it’s frankly an unacceptable sleeping option. We lived with it since the kids were exhausted and we appreciated the space, but couldn’t have stayed beyond the three days we did.
We paid to park in the connected garage. It was inconvenient because the license plate reader didn’t work so we had to call to be let out every time. We ended up just parking on the street so that was a waste.
The on-site restaurant was just OK for lunch and dinner offerings. I wish the menu had more offerings and variety.
You cannot use the golf course unless you were an experienced golfer with a handicap card. We were hoping to play 9 holes but couldn’t. You can, however, rent clubs and use the driving range.
Would absolutely return or recommend.

An unbeatable place to play golf with friends, unbeatable service, and a very comfortable hotel, 100% recommended for spending a few days playing golf.

Nice hotel and exciting golf course.

The hotel is so beautiful, close to the coast. The hotel is very beautifully decorated, cosy rooms, lovely restaurant and cosy just both out and inside, right by the pool. From the pool area you have a view of the goldbanen. The staff is both helpful, sweet and nice and the service is at the top. Really good food in the restaurant also in the clubhouse to the golf course. The golf course is so nice, exciting and varied holes. Well-maintained track.

Perfect hotel for golf and hygge

A super nice hotel just outside the center of Cascais. When you come here you feel very welcome by everyone who works there. We had a lovely room with morning sun and lovely views of the pool area and hole 10. The room was excellent, but would wish me a little softer beds. Otherwise perfect. Breakfast is rich and you can take food with you for the golf round. Here we are proud, and we will come back next year again. Short way to drivingrange and 1st tee. The hotel is recommended, it is impossible not to have a good time here.

A Fantastic Stay at Kimpton Quinta da Marinha!

"I recently stayed at the Kimpton Quinta da Marinha and had an absolutely fantastic experience! The rooms were impeccably clean and incredibly comfortable. The service from the staff was top-notch from start to finish. One of the highlights was waking up to the beautiful, serene views of the golf course right from the room. On top of that, the food was simply excellent and it was a super family-friendly hotel for our 1 year old. Overall, it was a truly wonderful getaway. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Cascais area!"
