The heart of Lisbon
The staff were all friendly and the rooms were excellent with beautiful decoration.
This hostel is located in the centre of Lisbon and is near many public transportations like the subway and bus station, which helped us out a lot. It also has many supermakets if you enjoy buying some snacks which was the case with my children!
I definitely recommend this hostel!

Not recommendable at all
We booked three weeks before our stay. One after one, our cards got declined (that's an option for the hotel on booking.com), while we used them normally in other localities. In the week before the stay, it was canceled and the rooms were avaible on the website again for the double of the price. On a call to the hostel there was no help and we were told to just book it again, which we did, since there was no other option for us. It was extremly frustrating to see that there wasn't even the attempt to help us. (at this point it feels like a scheme, which it might not be, but the signs are there)
The room was alright (unless the noise by the cars and the sirens on the streets, but that's not on the owner). The bathrooms on the other hand were public and not hygienic at all. The toilets had no seats (they were all broken apart) and the rest looked and smelled accordingly (underpants and toothbrushes from other guests, partially no electricity, ...). The latter also spread to the doorways.
So if you, like us, want a cheap hostel for a short stay, be aware that this could cost you the same like a nice hotel you book three weeks early while getting to depend on restaurants to go to the bathroom ...

Excellent service and
Not to say that this hostel is very close to so many good restaurants, bars, cafes and subways.
We stayed in the 2nd floor and we had free Wi-Fi also the rooms we stayed at were very big so it was a really first good experience in Portugal, definitely coming back more!

Accomodating staff very basic accomodation
Shared bathroom, poor internet and no air air conditioning. The staff were friendly and accommodated us cutting our stay short which we appreciated.
