Cosy and romantic hotel

A really cosy and romantic hotel. Large and spacious room with the possibility to cook yourself. And delicious with a large fridge with room for drinks (and food).
However, one must be both well walking and quite mobile to be able to live here. You cannot be put off at the door, you can only arrive on foot. And the staircase up to our room was also quite narrow. Spa and sauna for private use is really delicious and nice that you have it for yourself in the reserved time.
We could well miss more healthy alternatives to breakfast as we found a little “bread and cake heavy”.
This hotel gets our best recommendations.

Elite aesthetics in a perimeter of shadows

Castelo Prime Suites is an oasis of refined aesthetics, a fragment of crystal set, unfortunately, in a frame of rough and unstable clay. It is the architectural embodiment of the paradox: inside, comfort is a dogma and elegance a fluid language; outside, the reality of Lisbon bites with the ferocity of a neighborhood that has not yet received the kiss of urban regeneration. The suites are designed with impeccable geometric solidity. Every detail speaks of a welcome that does not allow smudges, offering spaces that are, to all intents and purposes, temples of peace and beauty. It is the Apollonian order that reigns supreme among walls that smell of thoughtfulness and design. Crossing the threshold, the contrast is violent. The hotel is located in an urban quadrant where social distress is not an abstraction, but a tangible and restless presence. The perception of insecurity is the bitter duty to pay for proximity to the Castle; the adjacent streets exude a hostility that turns every evening return into a small, unnecessary, odyssey. Choosing this property is like staying in a beautiful golden aviary surrounded by wolves. If your priority is aesthetic isolation, you will come out ecstatic; if you seek freedom of movement that does not require the vigilance of a veteran, you will find the location frankly unacceptable.

Friendly staff, close to attractions, quiet and clean rooms. Very potent fragrances from cleaning products that was impossible to air-out of the room. Very gross hot tub with green water. Excellent views. The street outside the hotel was unpaved and foot traffic only. Graffiti, empty lots and abandoned buildings. Warm welcome from staff.
