Fantastic customer care and willingness to accommodate in late hours
We have come to the hotel way past midnight and the owners were very willing to accommodate us, they immediately called us back and made it possible that we could enter the hotel. The hotel was clean, nice, very comfortable. The bathroom is spacious and lovely. Shampoos and soaps were available. Breakfast was quite nice. I highly recommend this hotel and I am impressed with the owners to do such a good job on customer care. I come fromThe USA and have quite a high standard and I would say this is a very nice, comfortable and inexpensive stay at around four stars or so on an American steel. Very much of a bed-and-breakfast feel.

What a dive!! Avoid and don’t waste your money
One of the worst hotels we have ever stayed at!
We booked a twin room for two people and on our arrival we were told that the room was booked for one person only. This was totally incorrect and we had screenshots confirming that the room was for 2 guests. The hotel receptionist (Aneta) was utterly rude, disrespect, aggressive and kept shouting instead of talking. All done in front of other people in Reception. We were told we have to pay extra otherwise we can go somewhere else.
We had no choice but to pay additional fee otherwise we would have ended up on the street!
The hotel refused to cancel the booking therefore we had no choice but to stay there and pay extra which was totally not right. We believe this was nothing but a mis sold product/service and we are now taking this matter further.
We were treated like idiots by the woman in reception whos attitude was disgusting beyond unacceptable and the hotel manager should consider whether she would be in a customer facing job!
We had a long trip and were humiliated in front of other people.
Our room was nothing but a dirty smelly cave.
We had one small open bookcase kind of furniture where we could hang only 6 items (photo attached).
The other cabinet with shelves was full of junk, rubbish, old pipes, taps, you name it – (photo attached).
We had rats or mice walking around and some black insects found in bed and on the floor (photos attached).
Our bedsheets and towels were changed only once in one week and only when we managed to find someone and request it!
Our bins were not emptied out for the whole week!
All in all the experience and stay was not worth a penny and we will ensure an appropriate feedback is shared where needed.
Do yourself a favour and book in a different horses where you’ll be treated like a human.

Very nice and comfortable stay
The place is nice and comfortable, the food is delicious for reasonable price! Just happened that my car has got a flat tire and the owner of the hotel drove me to nearest gas station to fix it. Thank you for helping me. Will definitely come back. Highly recommend. Everything is top quality!

Terrible hotel but in pretty surroundings...
We booked to stay at this hotel as we wanted to be near Tarnow with scenic views. The location is lovely near the castle but from the moment we arrived we struggled to find a parking space as it is limited.
Reception is in the main restaurant and it took ages to check in.
The building is run down and when we got the keys to our room we were horrified to find the room had still not been made up from the night before. We were given another room and this was small dirty and very dark with 2 small single beds at opposite sides of the room...
We were not at all happy and decided to check out immediately which was not received well.. claiming they could not use the credit card machine to issue refunds...
To summarise avoid this hotel...
Looks nice on the outside but in very bad disrepair needs money spending and very rude staff.....
Reception is in the main restaurant and it took ages to check in.

We held our wedding here in June
I would recommend this hotel to everyone I know.
I held my wedding here in June over 2 days. As part of that we also booked multiple hotel rooms for the weekend. I myself stayed overnight.
The hotel is small, located in a beautiful park and above the restaurant. The rooms are comfortable, the beds and bedding are ample and the water pressure is strong. Wifi is free in the hotel and the owners (a married couple) and their staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay in this hotel again.
As for being the host of my wedding I couldn't have been happier with how things went. My husband (who is Polish) and I live in Canada (I'm Canadian). We organized everything for our wedding online and to say I was a bit worried is an understatement. When we got to Poland we met with the owner of Podzamcze and he spent 2 hours going through every detail of our special day (and our after party 2nd day). He was patient, kind and considerate of our wishes. Everything was taken care of from flowers & candles on the tables to setting up the patio for our wedding ceremony. The food was UNBELIEVABLE. Our Canadian guests are still raving about the food weeks later. Everyone had a lovely time with great food, drink and dancing. The hotel (restaurant) also did a FABULOUS job of accommodating our gluten free guests.
I would recommend staying at this hotel, eating at this restaurant and holding any special event here to anyone. The value for money was exceptional but it was the caring of the owners and staff that really puts them above and beyond.
You won't go wrong with Hotel Podzamcze.
