Highly recommend - excellent!

Stayed in a private room - highly recommend! We enjoyed how spacious it was and the ensuite bathroom was great too. Excellent value for money.
Perfect location 1-10 min walk to most places in El Nido town, so central!
The food in the hostel was amazing. We ate there multiple times, and some of the best meals we had. Especially breakfast!
The rooftop was great too. We went in low season, so wasn’t packed. Wish there were more than a handful of sunbeds though. The hostel was lively and had events on every night. Everything was finished at 11pm sharp, so don’t worry about not being able to get a full night’s rest.
I would definitely come back!

Good hostel if you sre looking for party but no so much with kids

The place is fantastic if you travel with no kids. There is a pool on the rooftop where you can have drikns and also have some soace to sit down. The food from
the restaurant is very nice. We tried the Ayam goreng, the burger and the chicken karaage and being three wildly different dishes, they were all nice. Downstairs there is a pool and that is where the restaurant is. There is a lot of noise from around 8:30-9 to 22:30 since every night there is some kind of party downstairs. We were on the second floor and we could still hear it. Our kids were assleep before that and they quite sleep deep but just consider it before booking. It isnalso in the middle of the city and very close to the beach where the tours depart from. They also have haqqy agency next to them (they share the ground floor infact) but we didnt book with them.

UNPLEASANT STAY HERE IN FRENDZ HOSTEL

Our stay was truly unpleasant. The service was poor, and the place had serious cleanliness issues — we could smell rats and even saw cockroaches. We wanted a chill inuman, so we decided to drink quietly in front of our room. Yes, we know it was past 10 PM, and the guard came to reprimand us. He suggested we drink at the beach instead, which was fine, but despite the fact that there was a gate access to the beach, he insisted we go around outside just to enter. That felt unnecessary and inconvenient.
On top of that, the security guard was unfriendly and rude even though we asked politely. We tried to give the benefit of the doubt, but overall, this was an unpleasant stay that we cannot recommend.

Go there to party/socialise, soundproofing needed

This was fine for one night. Thankfully we had just come from a coron to el nido expedition and we were wrecked that night but the noise in the night time was something else. I understand we booked a hostel and honestly I would recommend it to solo travellers or those want to socialise but I do think that the rooms should be somewhat sound proofed if you are going to have blaring music till 11pm. Thankfully there was a cut off point for it but it was so loud up until that point. Again I had no issue that the place did music but if you are choosing to sleep instead of socialising for the night it is so hard to sleep. People would be passing our room chatting and shouting and it would feel like they were in the room with us. We booked a private room and it was fine. You get what you pay for. I still think for the Philippines it was a little overpriced. I found one of the staff members not very friendly upon check in either but the main issue really was the sound proofing. The place seemed to have good activities and the rooftop with the pool was lovely.

6 Nights Mid November

We have just spent 6 nights here from Friday to Thursday. We stayed at the Beachfront part which has its own separate reception.
Nothing will compare to walking through the entrance and down to the rooms, we stayed in a premier room with a verandah. You are hit by the most amazing view and the sea is 20 feet from your door.
Bare in mind, it's still a hostel and although the rooms are a little more than what you would pay to stay in the hostel area it still attracts the younger end. We had absolutely no issues, and from around 10pm the beach access gate is locked and a security guard sits at reception and enables access through the front.
We paid around £35 a night which for the location is cheap as the equivalent at a proper hotel was around £150 a night.
It's a little run down and could do with a lick of paint but it was very clean, the shower is basic but does the job at the end of the day.
Our only complaint and it cannot really be considered one due to the location. The sand, you are on the beach and have to walk through it to get to your room. There is no physical way at present to rid your feet of sand before entering the room. A door mat or water bucket to dunk wouldn't go a miss as our room floor quickly filled with it which in turn led to a sandy bed. The air con is slightly louder than anywhere else I've been but we both had perfectly good nights of sleep with it on the highest setting.
The bed was huge, I'm 6'7" and my wife 5'10" and we both had ample space. If you are happy with a less modern room with a few age related quirks I'd highly recommend Frendz Beachfront. Book through their website as it's cheaper then through specific sites.
