Nice hotel, could use some updates to the rooms and exercise room. Overall descent option if you need to stay in the city. Breakfast was nice with many options. Super convenient location. Staff very friendly and nice.

Never again
How disappointing it has been to visit the Pinnacle Hotel for our 5th time.
Our first stay was 11 years ago. The hotel was never a 5 star hotel experience, but it was clean and comfortable and gave exceptional service which kept us coming back.
Sadly we have watched the steady decline of this once proud establishment.
The "Superior Queen Suite" we booked was unfit for human habitation. The key-card entry lock had to be repaired before we even got inside the room. The bathroom was indescribably disgusting. The shower head only dribbled water down the wall, making it next to impossible to even get wet, the grouting looked like it had been done by a 5 year old child and was filthy, the shower screen door was missing. When I tried to exit the bathroom, the door handle came off in my hand. The lighting was so dim it felt like a haunted mansion ride at a carnival.
The wardrobe was obviously a later edition and looked like it had been built by a 6th grade woodworking class. The rest of the furniture was coated in a thick layer of dust.
The view from our window was of a filthy back alley. The air conditioner had a maddening clicking noise all night, in the morning we could see daylight through a half inch gap in the wall under the air conditioner unit.
We requested another room 1st thing next morning.
2nd room was a little better, at least we could take a shower, although the shower head and plumbing was still in need of a complete overhaul. The toilet malfunctioned on our third night and had to be repaired, a constant water leak onto bathroom floor was annoying but by now we were beyond worrying about it. The rooms are in desperate need of full renovation.
We were without hot water for pur last four days, and the TV remote had to be replaced mid stay.
The hotel has lost most of it's features. The gift shop has gone, there is no bar, the nightly entertainment is no more.
The restaurant staff have been slashed, the smiling coffee service lost, replaced by a watery coffee urn in the corner of the breakfast buffet.
Restaurant furniture has not been updated or replaced in over 11 years. One guest elevator has been reassigned as a service elevator, one is in desperate need of a renovation and the 3rd has been upgraded but hasn't been cleaned in 2 weeks as it has a bare footprint on one of the walls, it also has been playing one single Karen Carpenter song on repeat for our 2 week stay. I like the Carpenters but.... Please!
The air conditioning is turned off in the hallways, no room service on Sundays but the room rate is the same. The pool and gym deck on the 5th floor is deserted and only accessible by those who know where it is. There is no signage or mention of these facilities inside the hotel at all, only the original aging street entrance sign lists them.
There is some renovation work being carried out around the hotel, but the rapid deterioration is outpacing the repairs by some distance.
We used to tell our friends about this place, but now we couldn't in all conscience recommend this hotel to anyone when we have no intention of returning ourselves.
Like much of the city, the Pinnacle Hotel is just another sad example of the Philippines building nice things and failing to look after them.

Not Good Experience.
Room not clean drops of paints all over the bathroom glass and flooring. No Microwave if you need to get warm of your food, they charge you Php 100.00 per warming of your food. Not unlike Acacia Hotel they have Microwave in your room here in Pinnacle big changes. I don't even think that they change their system not unlike in 2023 i even recommend this hotel to all my friends and relative that wanted to stay in Davao. Now, i don't recommend this hotel. Booking.com i don't expect you guys have this hotel. Thank you. I rather recommend Acacia Hotel its walking distance to SM Mall.

Amazing customer service and staffs.
Accessible to most everything including shopping mall.

The hotel was closed for renovations and they didn't inform me until I arrived to check in. I couldn't stay and had to find alternative accommodation myself.
