Fantastic Diving Experience!
This is our 2nd experience with Melo and his staff. Melo is simply outstanding and goes well beyond what you expect from a dive master. He is very safety conscience and has a wealth of diving knowledge. This is a great place to dive if you like avoiding the crowds, which our family does. Look forward to more diving adventures with Melo.

Agta Resort is a big NO now!!
We have stayed at Agata Beach resort several times over the years and always enjoyed it. We have a very large family we travel with and their facility was able to accommodate all of us. A large common area in the center with a kitchen and rooms on either end that could accommodate 10 or more each, until this year that is.
The two rooms had been reduced to an occupancy of only five each. We asked if more beds could be added and were told no. We told them we would be happy to pay and still they said no. According to the staff their policy changed and they will not accommodate requests for additional beds.
None of the outlets in the bedrooms worked, the grounds looked unkempt compared to past years, and the pools were all murky instead of crystal clear like they used to be.
What a shame, this was our go to for many years, but no more.

Adults only resort
First at all, resort is pretty nice and owners hospitale. It's a basic establishment what maybe needs a full renovation. Swimming pools are nice and open to us until deepest night. But there's something should be paid immediate attention. Resort owns a three dogs and two of them attacked to the little kids three times same day. What saved the situation from the major accidents where adults behind. And also very nice Gabi dog who arrived immediately to protect the children. Gabi was a very brave and there's photos his fishing moments in the beach. Resort has no coverage of GSM network and WiFi was simply irritating. It runs or it didn't, and in the room very very poor. Food was ok when tummy requests the fill-up but no table knives in the resort. It's really hard to find a transportation to Naval city especially in the evening time. Driving within tricycles is definitely a full of pain. Upon the time of our check out cashier couldn't count simple ten percent discount in the room rate. She should return back to school. And resort concider kid's age above 5 as a adults. Never seen this rule anywhere in my long travel history.

Agta Beach Resort: My First Experience in Almeria, Biliran
This was my first time in Agta Beach Resort. My first time in Almeria. And my first time in Biliran Province.
The town of Almeria is around two (2) to three (3) hours from the City of Tacloban. We were fetched by a van from Tacloban to the resort. The resort was good. We had our event in this venue wherein we accommodated around 40 young participants.
The room that was given to me was good. It was comfy and clean. The room was good as I expected it.
Since the resort was far from the town proper, it has a little signal and internet connection. The owner was kind enough to let us connect to their in-house internet.
The food was great since it was fresh and tasty. The people who assisted us was jolly, friendly and hospitable. I even had a chance to dance with them on one evening at our venue.
A great place to relax and enjoy the beach while far from the noise of the metropolitan.

No cellular. No internet.
When you travel in the Province you don’t go for internet and cellular. However, if you are completely without it you better be the Robinson Cruso Type. The Beach looks better in the photos. A bit stony. Swimming almost impossible because the water is shallow and Full is sea grass. Otherwise it has the basics. Local food. Our room small, no TV but palace to sleep.
Had thought of getting a boat there to visit Sambawan Island but they weren’t really set up to arrange that. Planned to stay 3 days but left after a day.
I think since no cellular Management need to provide some internet. I 7nderstand they had it but cut it.
