Super Service !!!

This is a great Hostel for one or a few nights. The rooms are clean and the beds really comfortable. Special thanks to Kevin! You helped me alot and gave me many good tips for the city! Well done :) can recommend it to anyone!

Kevin was great... but the hostel was a bit rundown!

Kevin on the front desk was brilliantly helpful and he was the best thing about our stay there. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
When we stayed at Inka Wonder they were doing building work so there was a lot of noise until late and furniture/materials being carried through the building. This did result in an upgrade to a private room though, so not all bad!
Also - the restaurant was completely flooded when we got up at 4am for our breakfast - it is attached to a balcony and there had been heavy rainfall so we were literally up to our ankles as we sat down to eat! Breakfast was very basic. But we were eating early in the morning so it's nice they provided it at all.
The security was pretty poor - overnight front door was wide open with no one on the desk, and when the hostel "looks after" your bags they're in an unlocked cupboard, anyone could walk in and take them.
Inka Wonder does seem to have strangely perfect reviews which convinced us to book it, but this one is hopefully balanced enough to be useful!

Good price and great views

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had the most amazing view of the river! The breakfast was good and they made fresh juice each day.
The Wifi was inconsistent and the water was ONLY hot (yes, I realize this is Aguas Calientes...), but it was too hot to shower. The floor also felt like it was constantly damp and slippery.
The man at the front desk was helpful, but I found that it was best to speak to him in Spanish.

superb VFM

what a fab little hotel. its really economical. fantasticallly located- next to the railway station and the bus stop for the Machu Picchu bus and they give a half decent breakfast at about 4am! the only think is the room is too basic but thats the price u pay for. its clean and i would recommend it!

Great quality hostel!

Really enjoyed our stay at this hostel when we visited Machu Picchu this August! The bed was very comfortable, the water always hot and the room was very clean. They have a good breakfast that they put on from 4am for those people wanting to get a very early start. Our room had a view of the river which was a lovely sound to fall asleep to at night!
An extra bonus is the receptionist was incredibly helpful and gave us lots of useful information! He even came unprompted to speak to us and get our full money back when he heard our tour was not up to standard!
100% would recommend a stay here!
