Neat and clean apartments in Warmond

The Tweelwonen Kaagresort provides apartments on a half way between Hague and Amsterdam, near to Leiden. The flats are clean, comfortable and modern with a lot of facilities. From the balcony you will have nice view to a small harbour. The wifi is excellent. The only problem is the sound-proofing... You will hear the other families daily routine, which can be annoying.

Very basic and chilly apartment in a noisy complex.

Not the best of experiences. Probably would have been better if the weather had been warmer! Check-in was difficult because we did not get the email with details about the key and code. Nobody was present (4 PM) and we had to laboriously telephone to get the information needed. The apartment is simple but has the basics and is spacious. During our stay we had rain, wind and it was quite chilly. Unfortunately, we could not decide for ourselves how warm we wanted to be (the thermostat has a maximum of 22 degrees and that is that). As stated, the apartment is spacious and so does not really heat up that well, especially since it needs continuous airing... there is a musty smell throughout. The bathroom is also quite spacious and has a shower. I was surprised to find a huge squeegee next to that shower... until I found out why it was there! While you shower you need to use it constantly because the water does not flow in the direction of the drain, but it spreads through the whole bathroom if you are not quick. It was nice to have a washing machine, but I missed the instructions on how to work it. Disposal of garbage is also weird: no separation of paper etc.... the instructions state one should dispose of "other" garbage at the local supermarket (?) Finally, I will join many before me in saying that the whole complex is VERY noisy. Not a great success.

Don't bother, they have too many "glitches"

I have tried to book an apartment for my family for an upcoming trip to the Netherlands twice now. The first time I booked an apartment, I received an email approx. 1 week later stating that my booking had been canceled with no further explanation. When I finally got someone from the resort on the phone, I was informed that there had been "a computer glitch" and I should not have been able to reserve the apartment at that time due to it being more than 12 months in advance. It then took about 2 weeks to get my $1200 refunded. So I waited, and re-booked the apartment 11 months in advance (1 month less than their stated policy). Today I received another email (1 1/2 months after reserving the apartment) that, yet again, my reservation had been canceled. Again, I called the resort and was informed that the they had "just discovered that the apartment is unavailable". I asked how it was possible that I was able to book the apartment on 6/25/15 and have my credit card charged for the full amount on 6/26/15 for an apartment that is "unavailable". Again, I was told that it was a "computer glitch". Wonder how long it will take to get my money refunded this time. My advice: Do not waste your time, energy, or money on this place.

Geen service

Het resort ligt op een bedrijventerrein, eerste indruk valt dus al tegen. Na een lastige self service check-in, dus zonder iemand die persoonlijk aanwezig was (wat wel de bedoeling was want ons werd gevraagd hoe laat we aan zouden komen zodat zij er ook zouden zijn). Maar 1 sleutel voor 3 volwassenen, nog nooit zoiets meegemaakt. De 2e sleutel waren ze kwijt... Vreemde geur in het appartement, slechte communicatie met de organisatie, geen internet de eerste dagen, weinig verlichting, weinig stopcontacten om onze telefoons op te laden, dat moest dus om beurten. Het was er niet erg schoon, dit allemaal gemeld, maar er werd niets aan gedaan. Mijn advies is daarom: vermijd dit "resort"!

Slechte communicatie

Bij het inchecken was niemand aanwezig, ook al moesten we onze aankomsttijd doorgeven. In het sleutelkastje lag slechts 1 sleutel, ook al waren we met 3 volwassenen. Eenmaal binnen roken we een misselijkmakende geur, die bleef hangen ondanks luchten en schoonmaken.
De slaapbank kregen we niet open, er lag nergens een beschrijving.
We hadden geen toegang tot internet omdat er geen gegevens lagen, die er wel hadden moeten liggen.
Een aantal lampen deed het niet.
Ik heb gebeld met de organisatie, helaas sprak het meisje geen Nederlands en werkte ze vanuit Portugal. Ze zou iemand sturen, maar we hebben die dag niemand meer gezien. Aan het einde van de dag weer gebeld, en het meisje zei dat we maar een foto van de slaapbank moesten sturen, maar het probleem kon niet opgelost worden.
Die eerste nacht heeft 1 van ons dus vrijwel niet geslapen. De volgende dag kwam er iemand van de organisatie, en behalve de slaapbank en de internetgegevens, werden de andere problemen niet opgelost en zouden ook niet meer worden opgelost in de 9 dagen die we er verbleven.
Er zou een klusjesman komen, maar die hebben we nooit gezien.
Al met al een slechte ervaring, slechte communicatie en niet nagekomen beloftes. Heel onpersoonlijk allemaal. Ik zou dit appartement dus absoluut afraden, wij komen zeker nooit meer terug.
