Charming hotel full of history and character

A very quirky hotel, lots of character which I love. We had suite 303 (brown goose floor) which overlooked the square. Had seen reviews about street noise being an issue but we honestly had no problem with this. Room again was full of character, my one grumble was it could have done with a deep clean - for example under the bed (I was lying on the floor doing some stretching!) was extremely dusty, as were the legs of the chairs.
All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We hires bikes from the hotel in two separate dates, easy process and everything to do with the bikes and locks etc was fully explained.
A lovely hotel with loads of history and character, would definitely recommend.

Located in the heart of the city centre this small hotel is excellent. Don't expect lots of facilities, bars or restaurants, but the rooms are spacious and well equipped. The staff are friendly and helpful. I really liked the feel of the hotel and would stay there again if I was in town.

Comfortable but very noisy rooms facing the square

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in a lovely room facing the square on the second floor with an amazing view of the Dom Tower. The bar downstairs was packed with patrons until after 2 am, and the street sweepers started up around 7 am. Even with the double windows, it was incredibly noisy. The hotel provided ear plugs! If you are a light sleeper, get a room in the back of the hotel. Great location - easy to walk to the train station and the old town. Lots to see and do in Utrecht. If noise wasn't an issue, I would rate this hotel much higher.

Poor experience. No real amenities, nothing to do in the hotel. Breakfast, when available starts too late (0830) and charged at an additional charge. Staff unhelpful. Room had a terrible view which the hotel should really provide honest photos about. There was a bad smell coming from the basin due to poor cleaning. Also poor soundproofing as could hear others showering and talking from other rooms. I would not recommend this hotel. Very overpriced; it is not even worth half of what I paid.

Mother Goose was absolutely charming!

The Mother Goose Hotel
Was absolutely perfect! The front desk staff was amazing and kind; the location was perfect; and our room awesome! The cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in! The furnishings and decor was so nice! Not a single detail left out! I would HIGHLY recommend this absolute gem of a hotel in Utrecht or even in Amsterdam for that matter! It’s centrally located to the old town canal area, restaurants and bars! Loved our visit!!!
