Friendly staff is not enough – freezing in the hotel room is unacceptable.
The only truly positive aspect of this hotel was its location right by the airport and the friendly staff. The breakfast was also good, and the breakfast hours starting at 5:00 AM are very convenient for travel groups or early flights.
Unfortunately, that is where the positives almost end.
We were there as a travel group with half board. The dinner was a simple buffet – acceptable, but nothing special. Absolutely incomprehensible: Despite half board, every drink had to be paid for separately.
However, the biggest point of criticism was the rooms and the temperatures. In all the rooms, it was simply freezing cold. There was no heating in the bathroom, the room heating only worked through the air conditioning – and that hardly functioned at all. It did blow air, but it did not warm the rooms. Several complaints at the reception went unanswered. The room temperature remained consistently around 18–20 degrees Celsius. The entire travel group was cold. We even had to order extra bedding to be able to sleep at night. After every evening spent outside, one had to take a warm shower to warm up again.
The cleanliness was at best inadequate to sufficient:
• Upon entering the room, nothing worked at first because even the circuit breaker was off.
• The television had noticeable dirt marks, as if something had spilled on it.
• Between the mattresses, there was trash and a shopping receipt from the year 2025 – one really wonders when it was last thoroughly cleaned.
• The windows were completely smeared.
• Particularly disgusting: Under the mattress, there were two large yellow stains between the bed frame and the mattress.
Overall, the room appeared uncared for and superficially cleaned.
Conclusion:
Friendly staff and a good location are not enough when guests are cold and the cleanliness of the rooms is so poor. For us, it is definitely not a hotel we would book again. No one wants to be cold while on vacation or traveling.
