Nice small hotel

This is a small hotel above a restaurant. We had a nice room, with silly decorations on the wall. There is no real front desk, but we found someone there to find us secure parking for our bikes when we arrived before check-in.
Our stay was arranged by our bike tour company (Tulip Cycling), and included breakfast. We were the only ones eating at 7:30 on a Sunday morning, but the two staff members were very helpful and friendly, even though they spoke very little English. Google translated for us.
We also found Gorinchem to be a nice small city. A very pleasant time.

room 202 not recommended

I will ONLY rate room 202. The photos on the website look better.
We requested the room on the first floor because the stairs are steep, problematic with the suitcase
The bathroom is small but good. We also slept well.
We stayed in this room for three nights, €390. There are no closets or shelves in the room; there is a small desk, just big enough for a small laptop.
The suitcases were on the floor; you live out of your suitcase like in a tent. At night, you have to turn on the light if you want to get into bed.
Test the other rooms.

Never again

Everything! Around 10.15 we arrived, rang the doorbell and didn't really get a warm welcome (we really didn't expect to be able to get to the room already), around 15.15 we came back, had to report to the restaurant and were helped by someone from the restaurant. He didn't know anything else about the hotel. We went upstairs and ended up in an attic room overlooking a wall. Deer smelled terrible of sewage / litter box smell. (which has also remained the whole stay) We went downstairs for another room but everyone was already checked in so that was no longer possible. Huhh? Strange, so everyone came between 215.00 and 15.15?? And again, the boy from the restaurant knew nothing. The only thing he said, go to Booking.com, file a complaint etc etc. We go upstairs to the litter box, the bathroom is small and cramped (luckily we are small and not too fat) because, if you are taller than 1.70 you can not shower, you are fatter / wider than average then you can only reach the sink. It is extremely noisy, you also have to close a door well and hard otherwise it is not closed. There was a map in the room with a reference to it being a location for breakfast. It just didn’t mention that that location is closed every Sunday, and that breakfast in the neighborhood on Sunday is difficult anyway. You must throw your card in a basket when you check out. There is no desk, no staff. If you have difficulty walking or can't climb stairs, this hotel is certainly not an option with lack of a good banister.
Location is top but this hotel never again. € 106,-- for 2 people, sleeping in loft of 4 by 4 stinking of cat piss and further you have nothing....

Bad experience

Tres Boutique Hotel recently existed under this name. However, it can hardly be called a hotel. We spent 3 nights there. No breakfast, no reception, no housekeeping. All the things that make a hotel a hotel are missing. It's a B&B without the B.
The plus point was the beautiful room. Although we found the bath next to the bed a bit strange.

Superbly cozy and elegant hotel

We had a pleasure to stay with my colleague in this lovely and elegant hotel. We also had a dinner in hotel’s brassiere. We had such a wonderful experience thanks to warm staff, cozy ambiance, clean rooms. I was also lucky to get a canal view room, what a cherry on a cake! :)
I would highly recommend this hotel as well as a dinner in brassiere. My colleague wanted to slow down her eating just to prolong her delicious experience :)
