Nice hotel and good restaurant.

Hotel-café restaurant "T' Vertrek" is a hotel located near Boxmeer station, just three minutes from the city center. The Maasroute passes the hotel and is the Dutch part of EuroVelo 19, the Meuse veloroute, an international cycling circuit along the Meuse. The reception staff speaks English very well and very helpful with a waitress who speaks a little French. Our bikes were parked in the hotel (secure) with electrical outlet for bike. Access to the rooms is by stairs and on the ground floor, the room is large, bathroom with shower, smart TV, air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant (sweet/savory). We also dined in this hotel, you are greeted by the friendly and very kind waitress, I recommend the sweet potato fries, a real delight, with cheese tortellini. Thanks the cook, the service is impeccable. Plates are served with fresh produce. Very good value for money. I recommend this address for cyclists.

Great hotel for overnight stay

Booked a hotel in Boxmeer because of a party. Great hotel for the price. The rooms were very spacious and the beds good. Bathroom is a bit small. Breakfast simple but certainly adequate and good. The price/quality ratio is very good.

Quiet hotel in small village

The Hotel is quiet and friendly in this small village but is quite busy at weekends. We stayed to see the war museum at Overloon. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The bathroom is a bit idiosyncratic in that the basin has no plug and the shower floods the floor but it seems to dry quite quickly with the extractor. There is no kettle for tea or coffee making in the room.

Cleaning comes in without knocking!!

Nice hotel, good room and good beds. Also the location is good.
However, a lot of noise, both at night and early in the morning, cleaning staff roars across the hallway. We had two nights and both mornings the cleaning lady just came in. The first morning she knocked and opened the door without me being able to say anything. The second morning I had put up the “do not disturb” sign but now there was not even a knock, she was standing in the room while we were sleeping.
Shower + floor get soaking wet when you shower, no shower door present. So it's not safe, you slip right when you go to the bathroom. Also no shower broom present so you can sweep the water into the well.

Faded glory

It looks more like booking.cpm than it is, the hotel is very dated and it smells like that too. There is no elevator and it makes a dusty impression. The restaurant opens at 4 p.m. and so does the hotel. The hotel seems to be a side activity. Even then it is not worth the price they ask for it, nor is the breakfast,
