DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE NOT PHYSICALLY CAPABLE.
The stairs are incredibly steep and the staff will not help you with your bags. There is no lift/elevator.
Otherwise, the location is very central and convenient. The rooms are very basic and not in perfect condition but they were clean. The wifi works well.
This is a 2 star hotel and that is what you will get. If convenience or luxury are your requirements, look elsewhere. It is more of a hostel than a hotel.
It is noisy at night as there are people partying every night in Amsterdam in the summer. Bring ear plugs.
If you are happy to cycle or use public transport, you should consider a location outside the centre. It is so easy to get around ok a bike or team/metro, so no need to be that close to the centre. You should really experience riding a bike in Amsterdam.

Booked hotel La Belle Vue in Amsterdam via Hotels.com that was in completely unacceptable condition.
The room was dirty, poorly maintained, and there was visible mold in the frames. This is not just a question of comfort – it is a potential health issue.
After the stay, (should have done that before..) I checked other guest reviews and found multiple reports describing the exact same problems. Some guests even state that they left immediately upon arrival. Despite this, the hotel continues to be listed with photos that are misleading and do not reflect reality.
We strongly considered leaving as well, but were unable to afford alternative accommodation at the time.
I have stayed in many hotels over the years, across all price ranges, including budget options. What I experienced here is not a matter of low standard – it is far below any acceptable minimum.
Hotels.com has responded that they will contact the hotel, but given the repeated complaints, it is difficult to understand why this property is still being marketed.
I expect proper action to be taken to prevent other guests from being misled in this way.

Disgusting. Room was dirty. Bathroom had mold and the smell was unbearable. Bed was uncomfortable. There’s a coffee machine with no coffee pots. Walls stained. Shower was small and the shower head kept falling. The hallways smelled and the pictures do not show the real rooms.

Hotel locates in a very good location being close to everything needed. Stairs are steep as everyone mentioned but this is expected in Amsterdam. My biggest problem was the hygiene. Unfortunately balcony is not getting cleaned and there was a horrible smell coming from the bathroom. Floors didnt feel clean. Recco for the hotel: please put a small table for guests to put and open up their luggages. Room onyl included a bed, a nightstand and a coffee machine and nothing else. A small investment could do a lot of work in this space.

the location is great however very difficult to get up the stairs with your bag and not the cleanest. it does smell of smoke but the rooms with the balconies have a nice view. would recommend for only 1 night
