Excellent Comfortable Hotel

I really enjoyed my short stay in Chitre in this very comfortable and friendly hotel.
The bed was so comfortable and I slept very well. Nice shower and bathroom. The room was spotless and had a safety box which is always good.
Breakfast was decent and the restaurant onsite is excellent for dinner.
Nice pool area too. Only a 10-15 m8nute walk to the cathedral and main square. A mall is nearby too.
Very good value and I'd be happy to recommend.

WARNING – AVOID THIS HOTEL IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH

I suffered a serious fall due to the hotel’s negligence, resulting in four fractured bones in my foot. The hotel admitted liability and assured me I would be compensated for my out-of-pocket expenses. I am still waiting for over USD 2,000, with no resolution.
Additionally, the pool area had/has a rat problem, making it unhygienic and unsafe for dining. I would avoid the restaurant.
For your own health, safety, and peace of mind, choose alternative accommodation.

Parking for the disabled

I was invited to the casino by friends, the only parking available was in front of the hotel where there were 2 spaces available for people with disabilities.
A hotel employee told us we couldn't use the parking lot,
He was verbally abusive.
I was the passenger in the car and I had my permission to use the disability space in plain sight.
I definitely think the hotel and its staff need to be better trained on this issue.
We met in the casino of CHITRÉ that if we were attended with much cordiality.
I live abroad and bad experience will be my recommendation.

Perfect stay

I loved the service from the moment you arrive. Good rooms and private. The restaurant has a variety of menu and the best thing is the free complementary hotel drink you receive upon arrival. They explain everything to you and everything is very complete. I love the pool with music and pleasure. There are discounts for seniors. Thank you all for your service guys, Isa from California USA

Two nights in Chitre Gran Hotel Azuero

Actually a very nice hotel, room with a small terrace and hammock, direct access to the pool and the pool bar. However, we were not particularly impressed with the breakfast. 1st day a kind of buffet but no self-service, the things you could take yourself were all covered with foil. Little choice, the meat was more than dead and the rest very dry. 2nd day selection from the menu (American, European, house selection). That ended up being a small plate of scrambled eggs, taco and bacon.
A fridge and coffee maker would be nice in the room.
It's a shame, you could improve this beautiful facility significantly with little effort. I can't understand the other reviews that praise the good food.
All in all, you can easily spend a night or two here for the price. Fortunately, there are plenty of restaurants etc. in the vicinity.
