Clean modern room but noisy from the street

I stayed for one night at Tanuf Residence Hotel in the outskirts in Nizwa. The room was big, modern, with private bathroom and a big double bed. You have a coffee and tea maker in your room and I loved sipping on my tea in the small sitting space in the morning. Unfortunately the windows are very thin and it was noise from the cars passing by the road for all night. You can diminish the noise with ear plugs and headphones, but for the money I pay I expect a higher phonic isolation. Otherwise, I have nothing else to complain. Staff was nice and helpful and there's a Turkish restaurant nearby.

To be avoided absolutely

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. Decadent. Dirty (I had sheets with stains). Rust around. Mattresses in the hallways. Poor breakfast.

Needs some upgrade

The room is of adequate size with a big bed. Room amenities are available. The bathroom is big however it needs to be cleaned properly. The TV inside the room is small and far from the bed. The mini fridge is not getting cold even if it is on. It was also a bit noisy as the hotel is located along the highway so we could hear the cars outside. The location of the hotel is good and has easy access to the mall (a few minutes drive) and to other tourist attractions. Friendly staff and service was fast. The breakfast menu is the same everyday. It would be nice to have other varieties of food. The omelette and sausage were a bit oily. This hotel needs a bit of an upgrade to attract more visitors/guests.

Disappointing

The main room was pleasant and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom, however, was not properly cleaned (see photos). There were stains under the toilet bowl and limescale in the shower drain. The breakfast was ok. Not a bad hotel for a one-night stay, but the bathroom situation was disappointing, considering the price.
A very bizarre thing about this hotel was that my credit card statement does not say Tanuf Residency, but Izki Dental Clinic.

Nezwa stop over on the way to Salalah

Nice clean and tidy property. Staff effort for guest comfort appreciable. Good location as famous Nezwa fort and city center nearby. Having homely feeling and we do took stop over two times on the way/back to Salalah.
Though no room dine in facilities, but not a big deal as good restaurant available just beside the property. Recommend for long distance travelers for stop over.
