Once in a lifetime experience

We just stayed 2 nights in a sky suite and it was the most memorable part of our vacation. The Lyngen Alps are breathtaking. The dog sledding excursion was probably our favorite. Although, snowmobiling and shoe shoeing were also great experiences. We were very lucky to see the northern lights both nights we were there. Honestly, I thought we would use the hot tub more than we actually did. But it was a nice option to have. The food was excellent. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. Everyone was treated like a VIP. Definitely recommend staying here!!!

Incredible Bucket List Trip!

Lyngen North is a bucket list item not to be missed! It's a 3 hour drive from Tromso. It was nice to get out of the tourist area and into nature. There is a bus that goes direct to the Lyngen North lodge, but we chose a private car service. Both are easy options, you cannot go wrong with either and the staff can help you arrange which ever ahead of time.
We chose to stay in a 360 igloo along the water over looking the Lyngen Alps with an unobstructed view. GORGEOUS! Our igloo was warm and cozy and large enough for our 3 night stay. We loved our igloo since at night we had a great view of the Northen Lights! They furnished the igloos with adjustable beds which was a nice since you want to stay up at night and watch the lights. You do have to bundle up and walk to the lodge for meals, but it is so worth it.
The lodge was spacious and comfortable. The food was prepared by a top notch chef and was delicious. We enjoyed our meals and getting to know the other guests in the evenings.
We chose to snow mobile and dog sled, you will not be disappointed if you do these activities.
Here are my recommendations for you....be sure to take a balaclava for outdoor activities, the wind can be very cold. Crampons....will make the walk to and from the igloo easier.
It was an incredible experience. GO!

Absolutely amazing

Absolutely amazing. While the weather didnt exactly cooperate, it was still amazing amazing adventure. THE FOOD, THE VIEW...I haven't been that impressed in a long time. Staff were superb. Two thumbs up and highly recommended.

Serene, beautiful setting

We stayed in one of the "igloos" and got to see beautiful northern lights. They had an aurora alarm and music available next to our bed. The music was always mellow and calm and created a very relaxed environment. The beds could be adjusted to different settings which was nice. Wonderful meals - better than many I've had anywhere.

Amazing!

We stayed in one of the glass igloos and it was amazing! The surrounding scenery is breathtaking and we had three great excursions, dog-sledding, snowmobiling and snowshoeing. All were great! The food was excellent, the bed was comfortable, and we saw the Northern Lights two nights in a row! A great experience!
