Clean, efficient, no frills, low price!

Exactly as advertised. Staff was very friendly and they even helped me when I screwed up the booking on a 3rd-party discount site.

Check-in was problematic...................... then everything was fine.

All hotels belonging to the Citybox hotel chain offer basic services and self-check-in and automatic check-in at a very affordable price (basically you talk to a television screen the moment you set foot in the lobby). Rooms are narrow but clean, however, towel changes and housekeeping are not daily. The bathroom is functional but without even a glass. No TV, no kettle, and no refrigerator. Minimalist decor, a chair and small desk, a mirror, a coat rack and hangers on an iron support, nothing else. In the facility, there are areas available to everyone where you can find a kitchen equipped with a microwave oven, kettle, hot water, coffee machine, refrigerator, paper plates and cups, and a vending machine for drinks and pre-packaged food. There is a coin-operated laundry room. Breakfast is not included, but you can have it at the adjacent Rent Mel restaurant. Ideal location because it is close to the train station.
As for my experience, I must point out that the online check-in, strongly recommended by the property to save time, turned out to be a disaster: when I entered the reservation number, the machine crashed and did not print the card. I had to resort to the hotel staff's assistance to get the access key. For the rest, I would say that during my 4-night stay I was quite comfortable, even without a TV to keep me company during my downtime.

Bed bug nightmare

Citybox Oslo is THE worst place I have ever stayed. We got waken by bed bug biting around 2am. Literally we caught the running bed bug and killed it. Then we went to office and showed to Trisha and another guy who didn't give us his name. They didn't show any surprise when we showed them the bed bug. That tells me we weren't the only one finding bed bugs on bed. Also we found old blood on the bed which indicates this is not an individual incident.
Anyways, Trisha and the other guy didn't show much sympathy towards us and only gave us an email for complaining. We wrote and sent email right away since our night was ruined and couldn't get back to sleep. Up to this point, nobody replied to our email. This hotel just doesn't care about customer's complain.
In summary, don't stay in this hotel. I will never stay any hotel in the whole Citybox hotel chain.

Very good location and amenities in the hotel. Also there was a late check out of 12 noon so could explore on our final day. We would stay at this hotel again

Hotel was exactly what I needed for a couple nights but definitely was the bare minimum for what it was.
