Convenience & Comfort

We rented the bigger cabin with an attached toilet and two rooms. Was really spacious and had everything we wanted. We stayed for three nights and discovered the surrounding areas while we were there.
Even walked to the Co-Op nearby and took in the views enroute. The lady who manages the place is very friendly and helpful. Our shower drain was clogged and she quickly fixed it.
Perfect getaway.

Never again

A campsite that stayed in time and maybe even the cleaning?
Cottage for 480kr without shower (with bunk bed) was without doubt the most neglected accommodation I have been offered.
Worn/dirty/broken interior from the 70s. You didn't want to sleep in those beds! Asked for a refund because was afraid that the son would fall down at night because the bunk bed was not intact.
Was then offered another cottage (1) that was in the same substandard but a little better full and wider bed.
Guests are supposed to clean out the cabin but it could hardly ever have been done. (Missing cleaning materials and mop from the 70s) Tried to scrub the floor and it was like no use, old plastic carpet with ingrained dirt. No matter how much I dried, the cloth and paper turned BLACK.! In my world, an accommodation in that price range should still be clean and at least ok. The so-called service building and toilets were run down and dirty.
Hard to believe that accommodation in higher price ranges is of a better standard.

Classic cottage in camping

The house has a nice room but the 2 rooms are narrow. All 2 with bunk beds. Above a square and below a square and a half. It's no big deal but for one night it's more than fine. However I would say that it offers accommodation appropriate to the price.

Back to basics

Camping Furuly has a large selection of differnt type of cabins. We booked a Type A cabin for one night as a stop-over between Lillehammer and Geiranger.
The Type A is the most luxurious cabin, with its own bathroom. It's still pretty basic but comparing with the other cabin types, I definitely would recommend this one.
It’s not as cheap as you would expect , especially with the cleaning included but if you are with max 4 people, you get plenty of space.
According to the camping website, it should fit 6 people but that might be a bit too optimistic given the size of the beds.
The only problem we experienced was the lack of good curtains in the bedroom as it did not get dark during the night.
The cabin has a kitchen , which you probably will use as there are not much options in the area to have diner. There’s a Coop Supermarket about 1km from the camping site.
Behind the camping, there are some walking rails. We followed one up the mountain.
I would defintily recommend it as it provides very beautiful views of the valley and as there are not many people , it will get you the opportunity to have an encounter with a moose.
In summary, good if you want to stay for a couple of days at the same place and with more people then normally fits in a hotel room. For a stop-over and/or for couples, it’s a bit too expensive for what you get (or you should take the smaller cabins)

Very well

Good camping, reasonable prices, friendly staff, good starting point to Geiranger fjord. In our cottage with shower and toilet had everything we needed. Saw moose right in the center of the camp early in the morning)))
