Everything was just great. Only jacuzzi was a small minus. It was not in public use even for a short time. They booked it as privat just 18-21 for the customers, who asked it first. I was there after 16 and didn't get there. Normally these spa things are in public use.

Surprisingly good for a randomly selected accommodation.

Clean and very nice room with good bed, with two dogs we got room five meters from a "own" exit. Beautiful surroundings outside too. Simple but good breakfast. Comfortable and pleasant service. Recommended.

Interesting route stop with much to offer

I think this is a better hotel than these views would imply. It is a useful overnight pause if you are driving from Tromso to the Lofoten islands and we thought we could easily have stayed a couple of nights here. The design is interesting. I called it the Tellytubby house. It is located close to a forested area and we were able to go on a 10km local walk before check in. The walk took us through beautiful woods and on to meadows with views across the fjord. Also great is the quiet Sir Henri waterfall nearby. undertouristed area.
The room was OK, basic facilities and low hostel-style beds. But it was clean and quiet. We paid for the sauna and hot tub which worked out as much again as we had paid for the one night b&b. Worth it for the experience and a pretty location.
Dinner had one meat, one fish and one veg option, all a variation on the stew theme and perfectly OK as a plain dinner with fresh vegetables. There is an artisan salmon smokery in the area and we enjoyed their smoked and hot smoked salmon at breakfast time. We thought the owners/managers were helpful and friendly.

There are other options

The restaurant and reception look accommodating, but the hallway and corridor give an entirely different impression. On the way to the room you see water damage on the roof with a Gildekasse standing to collect water. It wasn't under the hole. Several door bars lie on the floor or stand along the wall. Inside the room, you get the impression of being back in the 80s, and not in a positive way. Soulless room. A mirror placed randomly low on a road, a wall lamp where the power line is wrapped around the lamp. The bathroom has no system for ventilation, water damage on liner and ironing walls. New strips are placed at the bottom of the wall to hide dark areas. Cleaning is bad. A lot of dust behind the oven, a toilet bowl that is more brown than white and fat spots on the wall when washed. The bed is very uncomfortable to lie in due to poor mattress. The emergency exit door cannot be completely opened as it locks against the roof on the outside. Outside the building there are two hangers smoking salmon. The smell of this can be found inside the building in the form of acid smoke.
