Very central, great for Bergen sights. Without doubt the MOST NOISY HOTEL we ever stayed in, yes its a city but this hotel has no soundproofing and room 510 faces the main road out of town which motorbikes use to echo their throttle off the concrete buildings ALL NIGHT ! ROUND AND ROUND! Breakfast ok but very busy with tour groups - shame love the location but next time elsewhere. The single lift is inadequate for 7 floors of tourists avoid if you cannot do stairs with suitcases.

Horrible old rooms, do not book

Very unpleasant experience with Scandic, they usually provide a much better experience.
There are very, very old rooms and renovated rooms. It is not possible to select a room during booking (at least when I placed the booking), and therefore it is pure luck where you end up (for the exact same price!!!)
The breakfast is very crowded and subpar to what we are used to from Scandic

A worn out hotel that need serious upgrades!
Windows without sound isolation makes your nigths bad.

Very disappointing. Unworthy of a 4-star hotel

The latest comments are accurate. VERY disappointing indeed.
Zero soundproofing, you need earplugs to not hear the street noise: unbearable!
Old-fashioned, tired rooms: floor extremely scratched, water stains on the desk, and the kicker... the 2 reading lights on the headboard have male plugs but the female sockets don't exist!!!
Minimal cleaning; tissue box not changed, dust on the baseboards and electrical outlets.
As well written in the Michelin, ask for renovated rooms or risk being VERY disappointed. Good analysis.
Not recommended. Room 315. We will see about breakfast tomorrow.
