Luxury on a budget in Owerri
I made reservation for my team via Bookings.com and was able to get a discount for the gold rooms at N20,000.00 .
The Hotel is located in a serene and budding part of the city referred to as new Owerri by residents and home to quite a number of hotels and entertainment outfits.
Approaching JJ Mas you are struck by the distinct structure and alluring and immaculate ambiance once you walk through the reception. The lobby is a photographers dream as the furnishings and decor are adorned like a palace.
Staff were welcoming and courteous both on check in and check out, bookings online were confirmed and rooms were reasonably sized, clean and beds comfortable. Lighting in the room was adequate with guests given the option to choose between smoking and non-smoking rooms, rooms are equipped with smoke detectors as well.
Hotel needs to fix the issue with the water pressure as this was one of the few sore points during my stay. Taps and Showers had low pressure consistently and made usage a challenge during my stay.
Food was a bit pricey and drinks within normal standards for similar establishments.
Complimentary breakfast was included in my package but should be improved, i had the choice of fried yam/potatoes/plantain, stew & Egg or Bread/Toasted.
I would recommend JJ MAS for anyone willing to enjoy comfort at a cost not too steep if within the vicinity of Owerri.
