I loved it

Everything was nice, good service, clean and the girls are very friendly and attentive and those spectacular breakfasts, peace and tranquility, I highly recommend them

A great way to experience Nicaragua

We really loved our stay at the Mariposa. It is a charming little resort with great service. We loved ordering the breakfasts off the menu, tasty and well presented. We stayed in a thatched room instead of the air conditioned rooms and had no problem with heat, the fan was great. Loved the bathroom that was half outside. Will come back.

Cheap place to stay - no frills

This was a cheap place to stay with a pool in Leon.
It was really noisy though. Loud music from somewhere nearby that seemed to start first thing in the morning and go on late into the night. Also there were children in the pool till gone 11pm which when you are sleeping in the bungalows is right by you.
As a family we had 4 bungalows 2 of which had fridges. There are mosquito nets over the beds and fans that do cool the rooms down but they are still quite warm.
The outside bathroom was lovely though.
The breakfast is poor and not really worth bothering about unless you order off the menu which is over priced.
Parking was a bit hit and miss and we did get blocked in
The staff though were amazing and so helpful - absolutely the best part of this hotel.

Once a gem now a toilet

Property is in major need of repairs and maintenance. No running water or proper bedding . Appliances need replacement. It can be a gem but ownership is a huge factor when they can’t afford to maintain the complex. Hopefully new owners can ..

Sorry for the misunderstanding and inconvenience, as our establishment unfortunately has no control when the city shuts down the water for "city plumbing maintenance" upgrades. However, we try accommodate/update all of our guests as much as possible when staying with us and go out of our way to best provide our guests with whatever they may need during their stay! Also, HOTEL MARIPOSA is proud to be one of the only Hotel establishments in the city of Leon with all new tech electronic devices & appliances throughout the entire property. Perfect stay

It is a very nice And really beautiful place. Really comfortable and clean bungalows.
Absolutely relaxing just 10 minutes from the center in Leon, 15 minutes from the beach. Jennifer and Julian are super helpful and friendly! We would definitely recommend this hotel!
