Chitwan national park. "Shiva's hippies colony"

In November 2024, I visited the Chitwan National Park, the village of Sauraha. I did not book a hotel in advance, knowing that there are many of them in the village. When I got off the bus, naturally, I was immediately surrounded by local taxi drivers. And almost immediately I received an interesting offer for accommodation from Rajendra, the owner of a guest house "Shiva's hippies colony" not very far from the bus station. The price suited me right away, considering that this is a popular tourist spot with many foreign tourists. We drove to the guest house just a few minutes. This was the first positive impression. Further: the house turned out to be very spacious, cozy, with a large courtyard, and even a swimming pool! I am not much of a swimmer, but I think this pool really saves in the heat. Each room is large, for two people, with a balcony, shower and toilet. As it turned out later, the house is located a little away from the noisy and crowded center of the village, and this is a huge plus! Silence, peace, beautiful views around the house. Once at dawn we saw a rhinoceros in the distance! Rajendra and his family turned out to be very polite and positive people. They cooked me very tasty food! But what is most important: Rajendra practically organized my entire trip to Chitwan. He described every day of my stay in detail, organized all possible tours: hiking through the jungle with a guide, canoeing, jeeps, elephant rides! He brought me to the start of the route and picked me up back. By the way, it takes about 5 minutes to get from his house to the start of all the tours. On some tours, they picked me up right from my house. Rajendra is a certified guide in Chitwan, and one day he himself practically conducted an individual tour for me to a very interesting place with many beautiful lakes. In fact, thanks to this person, my trip to the national park turned out to be so rich and interesting. I highly recommend "Shiva's hippies colony" to all travelers!

Best place in sauraha

Amazing place with two pool and atmosphere around is marvellous .
I love this small and beautiful place ..
Their activities also very well organised and well served.
Foods are few options but what they serve they serves clean and with big smile.

Heerlijk

Heerlijke accomodatie tussen de rijstvelden. Mooie kamer met goede badkamer en airco. Lieve mensen die je met alles willen en kunnen helpen. Via hen kan je diverse excursies of activiteiten boeken. Lekker eten en een heerlijk verkoelend zwembad, aanrader!
