Paradise in Vilanculos

This place is magical. My wife and I stayed here for a week for our honeymoon and it exceeded expectations. We booked one of beach huts, which is literally 10 metres from beach. Lying in the porch hammock while looking out onto the pristine sea is spectacular. All of the trips they organised (Bazaruto Islands * 2, quad-bike sunset ride) were exceptionally well-run. The on-site restaurant, Casbah, serves consistently fantastic and fresh food (try the local matapa). A proper wood-fired pizza oven blasts all day also. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with a combination of fresh fruit, continental options, and a cooked-to-order menu featuring omelettes, fry-ups, and more. The co-owner, Steve, met us at the airport and warmly welcomed us to Vilanculos. His knowledge, humour, and kind-nature made Casa Cabana feel like home.
What really makes Casa Cabana special, however, is the people. The owner, Steve, met us at the airport and gave us a wonderfully warm welcome to Vilanculos. His local knowledge, sense of humour, and genuine kindness made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. He even took the time to give us a tour of the town one day, which was well beyond what we expected and a perfect example of the exceptional hospitality we experienced throughout our stay. We couldn't recommend Casa Cabana highly enough and would love to return someday

great stay

Thanks Bobo and staff so kind and friendly! this place is central and right on the beach , spacious and clean but not as fancy looking as others around. it has wifi in room which is great , free toiletries, tea and coffee facility in the room and the linen is clean and bed comfortable. I woke up at six and went straight out for a swim! The bar offers breakfast and more by a very friendly staff .

Perfect stay for a family with a 2 years old kid

This is a very beautiful place to stay, you will find a very friendly staff, very good food, a nice bar by the beach where you can enjoy drinks and gorgeous rooms. There is a place to do bbq and a swimming pool! I loved my stay. A must stay in Vilankulos

Horrible

DO NOT STAY .We came for a couple of nights for a birthday celebration, we paid upfront USD 240, on the first day they knocked on our room door saying we had to leave because they overbooked the room and the other guests arrived. They made us move to the place next door however it was not a beach front cottage as we had paid for and no breakfast included either. We asked the staff if at least we could come from next door to their hotel for breakfast as we paid for it and they said NO. We end up getting a half refund and leaving. We questioned the manager why we were the ones who had to leave instead of the guests who arrived later as we were already unpacked our bags on the room and stayed the first night etc, they said they were important guests and we had to leave .

Hi there- I am the owner of Casacabanabeach and I was really dismayed when reading your story. On investigation it turns out that we did have an overbooking for 1 of the 2 nights you intended staying with us and I do apologise for that. We refunded you for 1 days stay and tried to organize you alternate accommodation. Once again. Apologies.

Friendly setting at good value for money

The rooms are clean, air-conditioned and spacious. The beach is a few steps away.
The safe was not available during our stay due to loss of key. This aspect should be reviewed.
I recommend for economical accommodation.
