Beautiful scenery, out of the hubbub of Kotor town. Excellent service.
Rooms not huge but clean and comfy, we had a beautiful view. Breakfast was fabulous - lots of choice and very leisurely.
Having gone to kotor in the evening we realise what a good choice it was to stay here.

A truly breathtaking location in a lovely, friendly hotel
There is a great pool with plenty of beds, a cute little private beach and a huge area to sit at the water's edge and drink in the wonderful vista. There is a small gym room which has some free weights; it's nothing fancy but it gets you out of trouble.
I found the staff an utter delight, smiling faces, happy to be there and happy to help. They were very attentive, not pushy at all and we were on first name terms with some almost immediately.....I was never looking around for someone to bring me another beer, they just got it right.
Breakfast was perfect, good/wide selection, very healthy options and not too much rubbish food.
The rooms are exactly what you see in the picture.... they are fine, yes they are not newly refurbished and trendy but the style is in keeping. They are not expensive at all so they are about right and shouldn't really warrant criticism. The toilet is at a unconventional angle to the basin however I'm 6'2" and I had no problem so I don't know why some people even mention it. The rooms were clean and well serviced but to be fair my shower door was difficult to operate (room 203 if you are reading this) and needed fixing.
The hotel is in a delightful spot away from the hustle and bustle of Kotor and is a 30-minute stroll to or from the hotel. People have pointed out there is not a pavement, which is true, the cars whizz past, which is true, however we didn't feel unsafe at all. Most of the time we walked side by side chatting away. If you have small children it would be better in a cab. The bus service looks a bit hit and miss so we just walked and it was a nice thing to do. You can easily get a cab which is very cheap and only 5 mins.
I could have existed at the hotel and Kotor old town for a week and done nothing else. This for me is a relaxing type break and not a whistle stop to get everything done. Much is the same beauty and authenticity wherever you go. Having said that, the cable car is a must and a speed boat trip to a neighbouring site was a nice interlude.
I'm generally quite critical of service and hotels etc but in this case I have nothing but good to say, I felt comfortable and welcomed from the first second I arrived to the sad moment I had to leave.

Piece of heaven with views to match
A special shout out to Mila and Marko, who went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and looked after. Their kindness truly made my stay extra memorable.
If you’re looking for somewhere tranquil with stunning scenery and genuine hospitality, I can’t recommend Hotel Splendido enough.
