Clean & Spacious Rooms Very Close to Bus Station

My room was immaculate, spacious and very affordable. Situated within blocks of the bus station for buses to Guatemala City, I really can't recommend Mo Sak more. Hospitality was great, too – even with a late check out and an early departure – I had no problems or complaints whatsoever!

Would loved to have rated higher but....

I would love to give this hotel a 4.5 star rating but a few snafu's prevent that rating. I made a reservation back in October, 2017 through Hotwire for a King Executive Suite. (The rates are very good by the way) At no place in the reservation did it say you must prepay to guarantee you get that type of room. When we arrived on March 29, 2018 they did not have our room. They said since it wasn't prepaid they couldn't guarantee the room. Had I known I would have prepaid. My husband is 6'4" and a simple double bed just barely works for us. The room itself was clean and spacious and had a refrigerator, extra since, fan and air conditioning. The staff was nice enough but could not accommodate our reservation.
The other item that prevents a better rating is the transportation service to the airport. The description said they had transportation available and to simply let them know that you would need it and what time. This insinuates something like a complimentary shuttle. What it actually means is that they will call a taxi for you and you pay. I have no problem doing that but please make it clear that this is not free transportation provided by the hotel.
I was disappointed overall but can not downgrade the rating too far as the hotel itself is nice for the price and has enclosed, locked parking. I felt very safe there.

So Thankful to Hotel & Suites Mo Sak

I'd arrived having not slept for 33 hours in Tapachula after a bus ride from Puebla which was meant to be 14 hours long, but turned out to be 28 hours long as a result of the blockades between Arriaga and Chiapas. Tapachula was as hot as a furnace when I arrived, so I was thankful that the air conditioning worked well here. I was able to sleep at long last at this Tapachula establishment.
The staff at Hotel & Suites Mo Sak was incredibly warm, welcoming, helpful and understanding of my predicament, suggesting a nice place nearby for supper (thanks Rosalia!) but also going above and beyond the call of duty describing what it was that I would expect with the blockades the next day going into Talisman for continued travel to Guatemala, which helped that process go much more smoothly.
They were a Godsend in what was generally quite a stressful day.

Available when other are booked

Hotel was nice for the price. Credit card service was out... So take cash, a repair shop is across the street, so we were waken by revin engines. No coffee or eating options near by, closest probably an oxxo about 5 blocks away. The rooms on the back near the parking lot looked better.

very pleasant experience

We stayed here 2 nights going into and out of Guatemala. Both times we were tired and probably cranky. The people here really went out of there way to make us feel comfortable. When returning from Guatamala .they must have seen the effects of many hours on buses -a very nice young lady brought us a pitcher of cold water. It was heaven.
The rooms are very nice, clean and good air and showers.
In the morning we were offered coffee and bread.
For us a real plus was the very safe parking. We left our car there for a fair fee while we were traveling. There is an adequate taco stand 2 blocks away with soup and beer. Also 2 blocks from the collectivo route to the border.
again, the small things - seeing us drive up and opening the garage door, bringing an extra towel within minutes, helping us endlessly with directions - all added up to a great stay.
