Good hotel, good location, well done Carlos!

Check-in was very cold and unwelcoming. The receptionist was unhelpful and made the experience quite unpleasant. We dropped our bags as we couldn’t check in early (which was fine), but when we returned we were lucky to meet Carlos. He was fantastic,very accommodating, got us a great room, and even secured us a dinner reservation. He completely turned the vibe around and made us feel genuinely welcome.
The room itself was very clean with big, fluffy towels. Unfortunately the pillows were quite hard, the shower had a leak that left water all over the bathroom floor, and the toilet door didn’t reach the ceiling, which felt like a lack of privacy.
Overall, a mixed experience. The room had some maintenance issues and the initial check-in was poor, but Carlos made a big difference. We’d consider returning if the maintenance and front desk consistency improved.

Location reasonably good as close to "central" area. Hotel fairly newly decorated and clean and tidy. Decent price for short non luxury stay.

Not the standard they should have

On April 8 I traveled to Monterrey as my girls had a soccer tournament, we stayed at this hotel as my husband and mom work in the marriot chain, but it was not what we expected, the standard that breakfasts should have was not at all close to the other hotels of the chain we have visited, we went down to breakfast early type 8 am or a little earlier and there was no. Nothing, only one person was in charge and so I could not supply everything correctly, the toilet in the rooms could not even be noticed, just because they laid the beds and left water we knew that if they happened (we were not all day for the games) but the floor was not swept, since we arrived there was a broken rubber garter on the floor and until we finished the stay I picked it up and threw it, I did not do it before to see if they noticed it, behind the bathroom bowl was full of tangled hair, the bed cover did not change it until the last night (I was 5 nights) this I knew because my son stained it a little chocolate did not notice it with the naked eye but if you look well there was the stain, which suggests that only stretched the sheets and did not even shake, on one occasion I had to dial reception to go to perform the toilet since it was 5:30 pm when we arrived to our room and had not passed, among other details... I waited to make the publication because as I commented my mom works in a city on GDL and told me to perform the evaluation in the mail sent at the end of your stay (the registered mail was the work of my husband who works in a luxury hotel of the marriot chain) and we never received it, I emphasize this because we believe that seeing the mail because it did not suit them to leave it to reach us the survey and they were able to delete it... we have visited other cities and the truth and everything super well.
