Fantastic Stay With Welcoming & Warm Hosts

We stayed for 3 nights at the Red Tree House for the first leg of our honeymoon exploring Mexico City.
We could not recommend it highly enough. Our room was excellent, comfortable , spotlessly clean and spacious. The hosts went over and above to make us welcome , give advice and help, always with a smile, not to mention two beautiful dogs.
The happy hour were all residents chat and swap stories over wine is a great touch, breakfast was excellent.
For the price I do not think you will get better, In a nice & safe environment , close to all transport links and walkable to notable street food and sights. When we return to Mexico City in the future , which we will, we will be staying again at The Red Tree House.

Great Inn with good service

The Red Tree House is in Condesa, a lovely neighborhood about a 25 min drive from the historic center. The people that work in and run this small inn are top notch. They are super helpful. As an example we wanted to attend the symphony but I was having trouble with the website. They took care of it getting us great seats for a very reasonable cost. The inn is very lively and folks meet each other at breakfast and happy hour. The rooms are not big, but Mexico City is like NYC in that way. I would stay there again!

Red Tree House, style & substance in Mexico City

Recommended by a friend, Red Tree House proved to be the perfect place to stay in the busy and bustling Mexico City. Tucked away in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood, it felt incredibly safe, clean, and beautifully maintained — a welcome retreat from the energy of the city.
The property itself is stunning, with plenty of inviting guest areas to relax in, including a charming courtyard garden where breakfast can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Evenings were a highlight, with fires lit, complimentary wine served, and a wonderfully social, house-party atmosphere as guests gathered to chat and share stories from their travels.
The bedrooms were spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped. Ours even featured a private terrace with additional seating — a lovely bonus.
The staff (along with the resident house dogs) were warm, friendly, and always eager to help; nothing ever felt like too much trouble.
If you're looking for a reasonably priced, well-located, welcoming, and immaculate base in Mexico City, Red Tree House is an exceptional choice.

Great stay in an oasis of calm.

Fantastic stay in a great small B&B. Perfect location, very peaceful and quiet and most of all staff were lovely! The happy hour drinks are a great idea & way to get to talk to other guests and swap stories and advice. Would highly recommend.

Amazing experience!

We had high expectations after reading all of the glowing reviews, and we were not disappointed! We were two couples and we stayed in the 2-bedroom Penthouse, which was perfect for our needs. As others have mentioned, it is the staff at this hotel that makes it so special. They are all so warm and so helpful - we felt very well-taken care of the entire time. The location of the hotel couldn't be better. It's in a leafy neighborhood that's walking distance to tons of great cafes and restaurants, and we felt very safe there. Just a few practical notes: it was very hot during our stay, but thankfully our two bedrooms had A/C and ceiling fans. The 2-bedroom penthouse is on the top floor, and there is no elevator, so be prepared to climb a few flights of stairs. They make one hot breakfast entree each morning starting at 8am, but coffee, pastries, yogurt, and fresh fruit are available earlier. We had a wonderful experience at the Red Tree House and we will definitely stay here again!
