L'aéroport international de Cancún se trouve à seulement 25 minutes de voiture et la gare routière se situe à environ 5 km de l'hôtel.

Location

Located close to bus depot, stores and restaurants. Fast check in and check out.
Great staff. For an older place it is well maintained and clean. Large grocery store one block away. On the main Street with bus service to all of Cancun.

Clean and good location

I stayed solo at the Rivermar for 3 nights. When I arrived, there was no greet, no hello, no smile, from the older man at the reception. I told him that I would like to have a room at the back as I heard that it could be noisy to have a room facing the street. He said that it's fully booked. Well, I could not sleep that night. I think it was the restaurant across the street that played the music all night until about 3am. I had to purchase earplugs from the pharmacy the next day.
The bed has a fitted vinyl cover which made me feel sticky, I had to remove it so I could sleep comfortably.
The next morning, there was a lovely reception, Maria, at the front desk. She was friendly, courteous, and provided a lot of information on public transportation, and places of interests. The old man should learn how to be a good receptionist from Maria.
Also, this hotel has no elevator. I stayed on the 3rd floor, and had a big luggage to carry up and down the stairs. The room itself is big, corner unit and has a big balcony facing the street.
Location is great. Close to everything, close to the bus going to the hotel zone (right in front of the hotel). Close to ADO bus terminal about 12-15 minutes walk (6 blocks, I think) or pay 50 pesos to catch a cab if you have a big luggage.
WIFI is spotty in the room, but strong in the hallway. A/C is quiet.

Clean, comfortable and extremely good value

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Rivermar for four nights at the beginning of February. Our flight from the UK was over 11 hours so we wanted to find somewhere peaceful for a few days so that we could settle in and get over the jet lag before moving on elsewhere. The Rivermar was great in that our room was very spacious with an en-suite, clean and had a huge balcony. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the location was brilliant - right outside the bus stop for the beaches and two minutes to the supermarket and restaurants. Unfortunately there were no rooms with air con left when we arrived but the ceiling fan kept us cool at night. Perfect budget option, would definitely recommend.

It was ok.

We stayed there for two nights and by far did not expect a 5* hotel but still Rivermar could have been better. The room was of moderate cleanliness, the toilet flush did not work and in general everything was a bit old and used.
The hotel staff was friendly however the recommended restaurant (opposite of the street) was rather good nor cheap. Also, the male receptionist tried a little too hard to sell a tour to us.
Nevertheless, for a night or two and no high expectations the hotel is ok and also has been quite cheap. Next time I would stay somewhere els though.

Good clean place to stat

Nice place to stay. Good spacious rooms close to local market and amenities. No breakfast included but everything can be had locally. Good Chinese to eat at just a few doors up from the hotel 5 minutes walk from bus terminal to hotel
