Casa Piedad / Campeche - Huge room with a spartan breakfast

We were only at Casa Piedad for 1 night while passing through and had the room - or rather - the huge apartment “Campeche” with a kitchen, bathroom, balcony, and 2 separate bedrooms. The breakfast advertised as a "Continental Breakfast" consisted of self-service coffee, toast, and jam, very limited…
The location is good; you are within a 10-minute walk of the Plaza de la Independencia, the Malécon, and Puerta de Tierra. A truly beautiful place with an old town worth seeing.

VERY WELL-PREPARED GUEST HOUSE

Guest house with all the amenities for a short stay. The common areas (kitchen and living room) are beautiful and have everything necessary. The beds were comfortable. It also has a pool. It doesn't have parking, but we were able to park on the street without any problems. The purified water they offer is not recommended.

Big disappointment

We have only two good things to say about this hotel: good location and shower.
We did read quite many reviews about this hotel. We have stayed in many boutique hotels and have to say this was not a boutique. It was like 2 stars. We were there for 3 nights and could not sleep because we heard some machine start and stop all the time. The quiet time between was about 30 sec. We did complain about it but did not help. Ac and ventilator were noisy. Room was dark and ascetic. We booked the hotel from Ebookers and it was said that in the reception English is spoken. Have to say it was not and there were no reception. The older man spoke only Spanish and it was hard to say whether he was speaking to us on the phone because he turned his back to us while speaking. We used the water that was offered only to wash teeth and bought the drinking water. Coffee and bimbo toast with jam is not breakfast. The price was too high for this hotel. We were so disappointed.

For the price/quality ratio

Be careful, the property is not a hotel in the strict sense but rather a guest house with a large kitchen on the ground floor and rooms in several "corners". The place is convenient because 10/15 minutes walk from the center. The place is clean but we can regret the maintenance of the pool which was "grey" during our passage and the humidity felt in the rooms. In short, an unusual place with a good value for money.

Cosy boutique hotel near the center.

Cosy boutique hotel in a good location with very attentive hosts. He had very helpful tips for our stay. Breakfast was also good, lovable service.
