Front Desk

DT at the front desk at the Hilton Garden Fossil Creek was exhalent! he just started a week ago and has mastered the front desk alone! he has talent and that should not be ignored. i will suggest that you keep him on staff. He presents himself very well and has caught on quickly. Anna the GM is also to be commended for her great ideas!

Want to be milked?

We booked a "lake side view villa" at a handsome cost to be given a villa with a view of a wall, no privacy by the road. The unscrupulous owner refused any refund when we highlighted it was unacceptable. "Non-refundable".  No apologies or attempts to make any amendments.  We then try to relax by the lake to overcome this trauma to discover it has non stop  boat traffic coming within meters of the swimming platform. Making relaxing or swimming a very relaxing experience.  Our recommendation - avoid this vendor!

MISLEADING AND UNPLEASANT STAY - AVOID THIS PROPERTY

We booked a "King Room with Lake View," but the room had no lake view—only a wall by the road. The room was clean but basic, with unreliable internet and poor privacy, as it was next to the reception. The constant noise from the road, and ongoing construction of four new cabins made it impossible to relax.
Relaxing on the platform is impossible too because all the tour boats come to this pier to look at a stream coming out of the rock, making you feel like an animal in a zoo being watched by visitors. To make matters worse, the constant passing of boats and jet skis makes swimming here unsafe and unpleasant and water polluted.
The evening receptionist didn’t speak any English and showed no interest in guest well-being. This place feels like a money machine with no regard for customer service.
We tried to cancel after realizing the room didn’t match the description, but the owner refused to accept our cancellation, forcing us to stay. Upon reading a few other reviews, this is his usual practice. This was an incredibly stressful experience. If you decide to book, make sure beforehand that you receive the room you pay for.

Very good value for money

Beautifully located for a more than affordable price compared to the surrounding hotels.
Direct access to the lake by a grand staircase, with deckchairs and garden furniture. Self-service canoeing and cycling.
Spacious bungalow with very comfortable terrace, equipped with a fridge.
Only downside, many windows on these bungalows that are installed opposite each other so no privacy without drawing all the curtains day and night.
Very weird that we are asked if we want the cleaning done... emptying the garbage and making the beds does not seem to me to be a non-optional daily service!
Lots of restaurants nearby but you have to walk!

The majia de bacalar is a blessing of this world

The best place to spend time with the family and rest and enjoy the wonderful landscapes of this beautiful place Yolis and Roberto, super attentive and professional, greeting and respect, they do their phenomenal job. The Mexican tourist sometimes feels discriminated against in his own country in this beautiful place. no thank you very much
