Good place and friend staff

swimming pool could do with a clean, as kids wanted to go into the pool but it was not clean unfortunately.

Self cater and hire car required.

This was a disappointing start to our holiday. I feel for Eric who has personal problems but feel it is necessary for other travellers to give my honest review. We stayed 4 nights and must say the place was clean. The breakfast of fruit platter with bread and jams was not sufficient for us. There is only one restaurant, the Viking which is excellent, and a small shop within walking distance. No food, drink or tea and coffee available unless you bought your own. Lovely area outside with BBQ but not used. Nice pool and grounds but no sun beds. Wifi appalling! Access to the beautiful seafront and park area really close but no eateries. I would suggest you need a hire car here and be prepared to self cater. Sorry Eric

Alright

The host is very nice, the house is magnificent, the place is splendid 100% wild, very calm (except Sunday but it's typical Mauritius) it's a total change of scenery, I will come back with pleasure

Fine Stay near the Airport...and the Beach

We were glad we had booked a driver to take us the short distance, as in the dark Tibambari is hard to find. We were made very welcome, and our wee room had a decent bed and good shower.
Breakfast the next morning was wonderful; outside under the veranda near the pool, fresh fruit, french bread, plus coffee and tea (which confusingly was in the coffee pot!)
We also took a walk 200m to the small beach in a lagoon, which was very pleasant.
The only negative, and it's quite a big negative which occurs in many places in Mauritius, is the noise created by stray dogs barking all night, which prevented much sleep.

A wonderful stay at Tibambari

Eric, who owns the house is a very friendly and helpful person. We had rented a car at the airport and were missing just 400 m before we arrived, as we drove into a big hole in the road that was not visible for us immediately. We went over to Eric, who changed the deck for us. Unfortunately, it did not help. We had to have a new car, as Eric also helped us get a new one. The room and the adjacent common rooms were clean and homely and the breakfast is very good. The area is lovely and lies down to a park by a lagoon just hundred meters from Tibambari. Here are both good swimming and snorkeling opportunities. Thank you Eric for a lovely stay.
