Budget-friendly with the perfect location
This was the perfect choice for one week in Marrakech and I will definitely stay here again next time I’m in the city.
The riad is a more budget-friendly alternative with simpler decor, smaller rooms and a more basic concept (it doesn’t have a pool or spa area). But its location in relation the the cost is hard to beat. It’s literally a three-minute walk from the Jemaa el-Fnaa square, through a souk with anything you might want to bargain for (carpets, jewellery, souvenirs, furniture and all sorts of trinkets). It’s in the area called Mouassine which also gives you proximity to the historic hammam of the same name, Le Jardin Secret, the intricate souk alleys and the Koutoubia mosque.
The staff are very welcoming and friendly, they arranged transfer for me both from the train station and to the airport, breakfast was made on the spot in the morning (absolutely delicious) and the place is kept clean.
I got a single room with private bathroom, which was perfect for my stay, although I would say the bed is a bit on the smaller side. If you’re a tall/large person, maybe opt for a double. It’s also a hostel with rooms for more people, with a shared bathroom, so you will meet other guests during the day.
It’s not sound-proofed, so you can hear everything, which to me is part of the charm with a riad. If you're more sensitive, you might be bothered by the doorbell, people's visits to the toilet and the occasional guest who has a cough in the middle of the night. I generally don’t have trouble sleeping and here was no exception.
The water in the shower took a little while to get hot but as long as you know that you can turn it on a bit earlier. The cold night air was felt throughout the building, but I had a radiator in my room and extra warm blankets were provided. I also got an extra towel and a hairdryer, the staff will gladly assist you with your needs and you can arrange tours and activities through them.
There’s a pharmacy nearby, ATMs, all sorts of shops, cafés and restaurants, so it was the perfect location for a good stay.
Other riads may be fancier, larger, and offer a bit more luxury, but if you want to keep the cost of your trip down and still be comfortable and right in the middle of town, I’d say this would be the perfect choice.

Look for another riad
So... Riad clean and everything else is bad. Breakfast I do not know as it is included in the rate but once the coffee and yogurt was finished and the second time there was only tea... so breakfast paid but not made. They do not hand over the keys to the main entrance so every guest has to ring to get in and then every bell comes to your room.

Riad clean and very simple, strong point is the proximity to the square and the various shops and restaurants. The only negative thing is that there is no real space for breakfast. Definitely will be back. Boy at reception friendly and helpful.

Pour les chambres partagées, si l'un des clients ou les deux sont marocains, ils devront présenter un certificat de mariage, faute de quoi l'hôtel se réserve le droit de refuser l'enregistrement.
Selon la politique gouvernementale et les coutumes sociales du Maroc, un certificat de mariage doit être fourni lors de l'enregistrement si un homme et une femme partagent une chambre et que l'un d'eux est marocain ou musulman.
