An Unforgettable Desert Experience
My stay at Riad Merzouga Dunes was one of the highlights of my trip to Morocco. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always made sure I had everything I needed. They answered every question I had and helped arrange activities, making the entire experience effortless.
One thing I want to mention for anyone considering a summer visit: I traveled in July, and I was nervous about the desert heat. To my surprise, the riad was very comfortable. The rooms had excellent air conditioning, and I never felt like the heat prevented me from enjoying my stay.
The desert itself was absolutely magical. Watching the sun set over the golden dunes is something I'll never forget. Standing in the silence of the Sahara, surrounded by endless sand, was peaceful in a way that's hard to describe. I also loved learning about the local nomadic culture—it gave me a much deeper appreciation for the region and its people.
The food was outstanding. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. After a day of exploring, it was wonderful to come back, enjoy a delicious dinner, and even cool off with a swim in the pool.

Top quality Riad
One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed in Marocco. Right in the middle of the desert, far from everything, a stunning and wonderful setting where you can relax after desert excursions. We really appreciated the architecture, and since we arrived in the early afternoon (when the temperature was around 34 degrees, in April), we took full advantage of the gorgeous pool, which was all to ourselves since the other guests hadn’t arrived yet—they came a little later. Dinner and breakfast were superb. Excellent, home-style food. The staff was unobtrusive but helpful. Cleanliness was excellent.

Beautiful stay in the middle of the dunes
We had a great stay in the Riad which also organized for us a wonderful night in a camp in the middle of the dunes of Merzouga. The experience was magical!
