5 starts photo, less than 4 starts reality with nightmares check in
The listing showed five-star photos, so we booked anyway. On arrival, the hotel looked and felt more like an aging four-star property, in an unremarkable area and not particularly clean.
At check-in we provided our IDs and were asked to wait while the room was prepared. A staff member then returned and asked for our marriage certificate never mentioned in my email or on the booking platform. When we asked if this was a real requirement, we were told “no, but we cannot check you in.”
We asked to cancel and get a refund instead. We were told the booking was non-refundable and any refund had to go through the platform, not the hotel. Staff then suggested we simply pay for a second room an offer we declined.
We contacted our booking platform, who asked us to wait at the hotel while they tried to sort it out. For 3-4 hours, they attempted to reach the hotel through multiple channels and were ignored every time. On a lawyer’s advice, we documented everything and left.
This hotel does not match its online listing in rating, presentation, or guest treatment. Between the ignored emails, the last-minute document demand, the refusal to refund, and the pressure to pay for an extra room, it felt like guests were being taken advantage of. Save yourself the stress and book elsewhere.

Your reservation was made through a booking agency and not directly with our hotel. The reservation was confirmed under non-refundable and non-modifiable conditions, which were applicable at the time of booking.
Upon your arrival, your room was fully prepared and available. At no point did the hotel refuse to provide you with the room you had reserved.
Regarding the documents requested at check-in, these were requested in accordance with Moroccan regulations and the hotel’s obligation to complete the required guest registration formalities. In an effort to be flexible and find an amicable solution, we even asked only to see the relevant document for verification, without requesting a copy. Unfortunately, you were unable to provide the required document.
Under these circumstances, the hotel could not take responsibility for completing the check-in without the necessary supporting documentation. This was therefore not a refusal of your reservation or a problem with the availability of your room.
We also attempted to find an amicable solution with you. However, you ultimately chose not to proceed with the check-in and decided to leave the property.
We would also like to clarify that, since your reservation was made through a third-party booking agency, any request for cancellation, modification, or refund must be addressed directly to that agency, in accordance with the booking conditions accepted at the time of confirmation. The hotel cannot unilaterally change the terms of a reservation made through an intermediary.
We understand that the situation may have been disappointing, but we must make the facts clear: your room was ready and available upon arrival, and the hotel was willing to accommodate you provided that the applicable check-in formalities were fulfilled. The decision not to complete the check-in was ultimately yours.
We remain committed to complying with Moroccan regulations and to treating all our guests fairly, professionally, and respectfully.

Warning, the 5 stars for this hotel are a scam.
Do not make my mistake, take the time to read all the reviews, not just the ones that come up first.
Practically all the problems I encountered during my stay, others have reported in their comments.
Staff who lack professionalism or are even rude. Hygiene problems. Sewer smells in the toilets...
But be careful, do not take the risk of complaining, the manager is capable of assaulting you.
In short, even a 3-star rating is too much for this hotel.

Nous sommes sincèrement désolés que votre séjour n’ait pas répondu à vos attentes. Nous respectons naturellement le droit de chaque client de partager son expérience et ses remarques, même lorsqu’elles sont négatives.
Nous souhaitons toutefois apporter une précision importante concernant votre comportement lors de votre séjour. En tant qu’établissement hôtelier, nous avons à cœur d’accueillir nos clients avec respect et professionnalisme, mais nous attendons également de nos clients qu’ils respectent notre personnel et les règles élémentaires de courtoisie.
Lorsque des réclamations sont formulées de manière agressive, accompagnées de cris ou de scènes perturbant le fonctionnement de l’établissement, nous sommes malheureusement contraints de prendre les mesures nécessaires, pouvant aller jusqu’à faire intervenir les autorités.
Nous regrettons d’autant plus cette situation que votre épouse, que nous avons trouvée très aimable, a par la suite présenté ses excuses à notre équipe. Nous avons donc privilégié l’apaisement et avons choisi de ne pas donner suite à une éventuelle plainte auprès de la police.
Notre établissement est un hôtel familial, attaché à son image et à la qualité de l’accueil. Notre personnel constitue l’une de nos principales forces, comme le confirment régulièrement les retours de nos clients fidèles qui reviennent chez nous année après année.
Nous vous conseillons simplement, pour vos prochaines expériences hôtelières, de privilégier un échange calme et respectueux lorsque vous avez une réclamation. Il existe toujours différentes façons de faire remonter un problème sans mettre notre personnel en difficulté ni créer une situation conflictuelle.
Nous vous souhaitons une bonne continuation et espérons que votre prochaine expérience sera davantage à votre convenance.

Dominium Palace Agadir — A very beautiful address in the city center, almost flawless
From our arrival, we appreciated the quality of the welcome. A special mention for the valets and the teams at the entrance, always available and pleasant. The parking space is also very appreciable when you have a vehicle.
The hotel is very beautiful, perfectly maintained, and above all, impeccably clean. The cleaning was done with great care and our room was impeccable. It is exactly the kind of detail to which I attach great importance in a hotel.
We also appreciated the general atmosphere of the establishment: you feel good there, the staff is welcoming, and the whole thing gives a real impression of comfort and professionalism.
The only real downside of our stay unfortunately concerns the breakfast, which we did not particularly enjoy. The coffee was really not to our taste and some hot items, especially the sausages, were undercooked. It is a shame because the general level of the hotel had accustomed us to more. An improvement on this point would make the experience much more consistent.
It nevertheless remains an excellent address in Agadir, particularly for those looking for a nice establishment in the city center rather than a huge tourist resort.
We had a very pleasant stay there and I could absolutely return. With a breakfast on par with the rest of the services, it would be almost flawless.
