" Vallettastay Dormitory "is situated in Downtown Valletta.
65 St Mark Street inside a historic old building. " Vallettastay Dormitory " is situated in the thick of Valletta tourist zone with all major prime tourist sites within walking distance. Valletta being a hill peninsular city most walks within the city are either uphill or downhill.WIFI was available only on the ground floor of the common lobby of this ancient hostel building which seems to be straight out of the era of the Knights of St John who founded Valletta.Must have definitely been rebuilt or repaired over the decades preserving its ancient authentic architecture after World War II bombings. Ultra modern technology used in this ancient hostel with code punching lock for opening the main front door and light sensors in the entire hostel that switch on with opaque object detection. Excellent Toilet/ Bathe and a kitchen cum dining room for guests.

Don't recommend for anyone.
The apartment management lied about the check-in time, leaving me stranded without a key and forcing me to scramble for alternative accommodations. This wasted my time and money, creating a frustrating and stressful experience. Their lack of communication and disregard for guest convenience was not only unprofessional but also heartless and cruel. I strongly advise against booking this apartment if you value your time, money, and peace of mind.

Well located in Valletta
I stayed in a comfortable clean room with modern bathroom. Clean linen. Bed was narrow at about 30” wide with 4” foam mattress compressed on the side which is often sat on. This resulted in difficult sleep due to rolling downhill to that side and having to frequently “climb back up”. It felt like lying on a slant. The bed covers also moved in that direction. There was a nice balcony but with no view but a brick wall. Good for hanging laundry to dry. Hot shower. A/C worked well. There is no TV. There was no room refresh during the 3 nights I was there. There were ants daily around the small garbage can.
There are 20 steps to reach the 2 units on the first floor and 40 steps to reach the 2 units on the second floor.
Staff at Hotel Manoel, a few blocks, away were very helpful.

It was fine but I wouldn't stay for longer
We only spent 1 night at Vallettastay. The place was very clean ans modern however it was also stuffy and had that unpleasant smell that is probably hard to fight. Very small and perfect for a short stay as it's very loud from the outside and hard to sleep cause of the noise.

Not as good as you expected from the photos
The location was good. It took nearly 20 minutes or so from the airport to get there by taxi. It was in the center of Valletta, so it won't take too long for you go to some tourist attractions in Valletta. You can go there by walk from this hotel. (For me, it took only ten minutes to get to Saint John's Cathedral, Upper and Lower Gardens, and Seaside.) Some nice restaurants were pretty close to the hotel. Also, You can find nice restaurants near the seaside which takes only 5-10 minutes from the hotel. Also, boats leaving for Sliema were there as well. There was a good bar near the hotel, which is open until midnight. However, what I saw on the booking websites was a flat with nice windows, but the apartment provided to me was a small duplex. I believe it was cleaned before I arrived but I found some dead cockroaches on the floor. Air-conditioning was not that good, considering the unusual heat wave in Malta at that time. Rather, it was like an air-circulator. You can enjoy the hot shower as much as you want, but the bathroom smells humid and bad even if I opened the window to get some fresh air into the bathroom. Kitchen was too small and dark to make some food. Instead, I just ate out. Refrigerator was good but I didn't use it. But the service from the office was pretty good. They tried to answer my questions as soon as possible and also tried to provide me with best services as possible they could. I just want the website to show the real condition of the hotels.. It was quite far from what I expected from the website, seeing the photos. 한국사람들이 사용하기에는 좀 무리가 있을 곳이예요. 저는 그냥 잠만 자는 용도로 사용했지만, 그래도 쾌적한 곳이라 하기는 어려웠어요. 오피스에서 제공하는 서비스는 신속하고 좋았습니다만..
