Great stay at Zan Lodge! The rooms are nice and very clean, and the food was nice. A big thank you to the friendly staff who made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. I would definitely stay here again.

My stay at Zan Lodge was generally good and comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the location was convenient. The room was decent and had the basic things needed for a stay.
However, there are still some areas that could be improved, especially in terms of maintenance and overall cleanliness to make the experience more comfortable. Some facilities may also need a little upgrading for better guest satisfaction.
Overall, it was an okay stay and a decent place if you are looking for a budget-friendly option. I would rate my experience 7/10 and hope to see some improvements in the future.

Basic accommodation
We stayed here for two nights. On the first night they gave us a room different from what we booked. At any rate, this lodge (which I was informed was moving into a different location soon) is housed in an old building which used to be called Hotel Six in One. The room they gave us was quite simple. It's got air-conditioning, a small fridge and TV, and an ensuite toilet and shower with hot and cold water. There's a small elevator that takes you to the upper floors, especially to the 8th and the 9th floors were a restaurant is located. There's also a café bar on the ground floor near the reception area. On the 9th floor, on the other hand, there's a karaoke room for rent. As to its location, it's along a narrow street, which makes it inaccessible by car. The good thing about its location is that it's close to the local port whence you take boats going to other islands. It's also a walking distance from the public fish and fruit market, as well as souvenir shops. Well, nothing luxurious about this place. Just basic accommodation.

It's a good transit hotel.
Zan Lodge is well located within walking distance of the airport ferry stop. 7 minutes on foot. The ferry costs 15 rupees or $1. It's a nine-minute ferry ride to the airport. Malé is currently undergoing waterfront reconstruction and the ferry berth has therefore been moved to a square bearing the national flag of Maldives. I stayed for two nights from March 28th to March 30th, 2026 in this hotel. Booked a Double with Balcony. The photograph of the room provided is not true. The photo reflects the Delux number. Double wiht Balcony room is smaller. The bathroom in the room is much smaller, too. And the balcony only allows you to enter it sideways. The table and chair there respectively just won't fit physically. After all, the balcony is only 15 centimeters wide. When booking on Agoda.com the price was shown with all taxes and taxes. However, I was asked at the hotel to pay an additional green tax of $12. This was not announced when booking on Agoda.com.

It was nice to see a filipino crew at Zan! Staffs are friendly and very hospitable too. Overall stay is 8/10 🌟
