Great hotel in Luxembourg City!

Just returned from a short break in Luxembourg City staying at Melia Luxembourg (booked direct).
We stayed in a standard room which was a good size and well equipped. The beds were comfy and the room was clean and quiet with good air conditioning. The room had tea/coffee making facilities, safe and mini bar fridge with chargeable drinks. Our bathroom had a very good shower over bathtub and plenty of space.
All the hotel staff were all friendly, helpful and professional. All the usual options and more at breakfast, and also some lovely cook to order omelettes on request. The onsite bar and restaurant Casa Duques was really good. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Great cocktails, tapas and meals. Would particularly recommend the rice dishes - delicious!
The hotel is well situated for the city tram (Philharmonie - Mudam stop is less than 5 mins walk from hotel). It’s just 1 line that covers the whole area including the city centre (Hamilius stop, only 5 stops from hotel) and also the airport and train station. Moreover, it’s totally free to use! There is a mini market nearby (in shopping arcade next to the nearby tram stop).
Don’t miss Chemin de la Corniche often described as ‘the most beautiful balcony in Europe’ and we can see why!
We would thoroughly recommend Melia Luxembourg!

The location was excellent. We were able to get to the train station and various restaurants very easily. I wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was nice. Our view was amazing!

Perfect Melia as always

Beautiful hotel and very peaceful. Close to the local tram and great value for money. Would definitely go back.

Very overpriced hotel

The cleanliness is good in the rooms. The amenities are ok, but quite old. But the bed is very hard as a wooden plank. The curtains are not even functional, because there are a lot of little holes in them, so every little light can easily go through it. Then comes the soundproofing, this seems to be a concept which is not a thing in this hotel. You will hear everything at every time as if you were sleeping in a metropole. There is non stop banging from above, under and beneath the room as if people were playing basketball all-day. Absolute nightmare of a "restful" hotel.
It has to be considered that nonetheless the staff is very kind and the rooms are well equipped.
Overall not worth it's hefty price.

Nice big clean room. Ok+ breakfast, nothing amazing but overall good. Nice bar on second floor. Tram ride away from downtown. Nice visit and I recommend this hotel.
