Great value for money, overall good
The location is excellent - close to the old town, outstanding transport links, plenty of places to eat and drink nearby and all the amenities you could need. The hotel itself was very good - exceptionally clean, quiet, the staff were pleasant and we very much enjoyed our stay!
We visited the spa which was very nice (although it was unclear on the booking if the cost was additional or included, we did pay extra which wasn’t a problem at all and worth it, but the booking system was quite ambiguous) and the food in the restaurant was very tasty. Overall we enjoyed our stay and thought the Wellton was excellent for the price.
My only feedback which has slightly reduced my score down from excellent - the room got very warm despite the radiators being off, the meals in the restaurant were very small portions (although the food was excellent) and housekeeping didn’t make up or change the beds despite cleaning the room, emptying bins etc which we were surprised at.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would visit again! Would also highly recommend Riga or Latvia in general as a wonderful place to visit and explore!

Before my arrival, I specifically requested a quiet room, but unfortunately this request was not taken into consideration at all. My room was located right next to the elevators, so I could hear guests coming and going throughout the day and evening. The room was also noisy because of traffic outside, and there is a backpackers' pub below the hotel where people were partying loudly late into the night. If you are a light sleeper, I would strongly recommend requesting a room away from the elevators and the street.
The staff were polite enough, but I often felt they were rather dismissive and tended to argue instead of listening when concerns were raised. The customer service did not feel particularly welcoming. The breakfast offered a large selection, but most of it consisted of sweet pastries, cakes and sugary items. I was hoping for more fresh and healthy options. Although the variety looked impressive at first glance, I found the breakfast disappointing overall.
In my opinion, the hotel does not quite meet the standard I would expect from a four-star hotel. The excellent location is definitely its strongest point, but the noise, breakfast and customer service made the overall experience less enjoyable.

Rooms clean and comfortable bed with great pillows.
Mini bar temperature could have been colder.
