Weekend staying

I really liked this hotel and it is especially good if you are travelling with pets (they say that the "charges for pets may be applicable"). Furthermore, the hotel is only 4km away from the city centre, which is beautiful, and 8 km away from the airport, but you will not hear any sound of an airplane flying.

Good but you have to adapt a little

Let's start from the consideration that we are evaluating a low-end structure, so you can not expect that it is not a bit, let's say spartan, and I would like to say that in any case in the end our stay went well even beyond expectations. But I would like to say that some things are really uncomfortable, like the really tiny sink and the mold stains in the shower. Shower x other very comfortable and spacious. One consideration: I have never seen a woman pass in the 2 days of stay. Only men often barefoot, beer in hand and open shirts. X parking is quite easy to find along the street in front of the structure or in the back yard that when we went, because of the rains, not being asphalted, it was a stretch of mud.

Reprebates Hotel

Terrible, a meeting place for Russian Alcoholics. Avoid at all costs. I was here with my wife and two young children as a stop over before flying. Room was clean and lady at the desk was nice but that's where it stops. Clientele were like an Alcoholics Anonymous away day. I wish I had heeded the advice if a reviewers comment on Booking.Com spend a wee bit more get somewhere you will actually get some sleep.

Short break

We came here on a short budget break and this hotel came in under our budget, it seemed to be mainly occupied by contractors. It's situated outside the old town so we had decided to use the trams out the back of the hotel to commute in. However we could not decipher the Latvian on the tram sign so used taxis instead. We downloaded the BOLT app and found the service very cheap and quick.
We had a room on the ground floor just down from reception, it contained a double and a single bed. TV on the wall a table with 2 chairs, wardrobe and bedside tables. The mattresses where a bit on the hard side and the double bed had 2 single duvets. The ensuite had a hip bath with shower over, the water was always hot and the shower powerful. The rooms and the hotel were very clean though the front steps were starting to crumble the facade on the whole looked tidy. Outside was two undercover areas for smokers and just behind the reception/shop was a kitchenette for guests use.
The hotel staff were friendly and booked a taxi for us on the first day as we were struggling with the app. Not much English was spoken but we don't speak any Latvian so can't complain.
Close by were 2 restaurants no more than 6 minutes walk from the hotel and a Maxima supermarket the same distance which came in handy.
When you leave the hotel to sight see there is a basket at reception where you leave your room key.

Good for the price

A bed to sleep on and a working Wi-Fi that i am currently writing this review from. With it's own parking lot it's good for car travelers but there isn't much in the neighborhood.
There is a bus to the city close by and the staff can provide information on buss times.
